Welcome to the Way Out Ranch, namesake alluding to both escaping the craziness of your day to day and the fact that this space is strategically located in between the national park and the city, yet set up for connecting with nature and feeling like you are in a space of solitude.
Beautifully Renovated Home w/ over 2,000 square feet of indoor space and over 2.5 acres of outdoor space. Perfect secluded location, yet only 3 miles to the Park Entrance and only 2 miles to the town of Joshua Tree.
The space
High on hillside - Panoramic views of National Park – Over 50 unique Joshua trees on-site and boulders, boulders, boulders nearby. Large 2.5 acre parcel, partially fenced, and clean, nicely maintained home with tons of indoor and outdoor hang out space. 4-bedrooms/3-bathrooms spread out over 2,000 square feet of living space, including a large living room, dining room, kitchen and den. Bedrooms are all decent sized with the master bedroom and en suite bath being very spacious with private access to its own outdoor space.
Covered front and rear porches for additional indoor/outdoor living space with a newly constructed outdoor bar. Views of boulder mountains from back porch; views of the entire basin and dry-lakebed below from front porch; views of amazing sunrise over the mountains from side porch. Stargazing from Everywhere!
Fireplace (not operable at this time) in living room and wood-stove in den for intimate, cozy heating. Fantastic setting with remote feel, yet very close to paved roads and town. Tucked up against deep wilderness.
Everything you love and want in Joshua Tree! You pretty much have your own mini Joshua Tree National Park all to yourself! You ALMOST wouldn't need to go inside the park at all! (But it's sooo close).
Guest access
All of the property. Just FYI, some guests see the drone shots and worry about the unpaved road. A paved road ends to the North West one house away. Plus I have a Prius with no 4 wheel drive and those roads have never been an issue.
*There are occasionally flash floods in Joshua Tree, so please be careful when crossing over any major flowing water on paved or unpaved roads! *
Plenty of parking! If parking on the stone driveway it is best to go up SLOW.
Other things to note
Wi-fi signal is extremely Strong and I have not heard complaints about cell phone reception from any carriers, both of which are often issues at other homes in the area.
Please let me know if you ever have have any issues!
