The Bonita Beach House

The Bonita is a beautiful well manicured property. We loved our time there! The best part was Nora's prompt responses to any questions we may have had and the care taken to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Great Place for Family and pets

We had large family group of 13 with couple of small dogs. House was newly done and room for everyone. Large, fenced yard for the pups to play with couple of picnic tables downstairs and plenty of seating on upper deck with gas grill. Nora answered our questions quickly and we had great time at the beach.

Hot and Odor

The house was clean but really hot inside. They need to install a ceiling fan in the living room and provide tower fans for each bedroom. The main bathroom had a terrible sewage odor. It was so bad that I couldn’t shower in it. Also, the water from the shower pools out and gets all over the floor because the shower has no threshold along the base. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Danya we appreciate your feedback, it’s so important due to our priority is to welcome guests in a comfortable environment as possible. Unfortunately the smell is not from the property bathrooms, it’s from the City of Surfside sewer, most of houses in the island have been dealing with this and city is working on it. I apologize for this inconvenience. We are glad overall you enjoyed your stay.

Family vacay

Pretty little place. Very clean. AC couldnt keep up with all the bodies. Some of the dining and patio chairs wobbly. Deck is warping. Trip hazard. The stairs up to the house need a rail the last few steps. Especially since you have to carry everything up and cant use the lift. BUT! The house was clean and the showers are out of this world! Because it was an overdue family vacation and we were all together, it was great!

Worked for the value

Great place to entertain and close to the beach, but would recommend a golf cart for added convenience. Overall the house had everything we needed and was neat, tidy and clean for the most part. There was a big water roach in the bathroom sink to greet us night one. Also there was a plumbing issue in the main bathroom that didn’t get addressed by maintenance until the next day so we had no use of that sink. Now the worst complaint of all my guests was the sewer smell and the water smells like rotten eggs not sure if this is a Surfside beach issue or something the owner can do anything about. Lastly be careful on the furniture, the kitchen chairs need to be tightened and we had two people fall on the deck chairs that collapsed! Also one of the bunk beds is missing the trundle bed so it really didn’t sleep 13. Not a bad place for the value and the space.

Hi Jeannette Thank you for the kind review. New chairs arrived for the outdoor patio, the chairs from the inside are fixed, unfortunately sometimes guests don’t treat furniture as in their home, but we are on top of this and thrive to always give the best service, we apologize this happened in the days you were at the house. You are right about City of Surfside it has a sewer issue and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. About the sleeping number of guests that the house accommodates, the bunk bed room has 2 double beds, and 2 single twin beds on top plus the twin single trundle , that makes 7. The master has a double queen that makes 9 and last the guest bedroom has 2 double bunk beds that makes a total of 13. Once again we appreciate you visiting our property and are glad overall you enjoyed your stay.

Home away from home

The property is nicely renovated. Location to the beach is about a 11min walk. About a 5min walk to the Jetty. The property itself was clean!! Most of everything we needed the host provided. I was sold on the balcony and downstairs bar area. Definitely enough room to entertain guests or a intimate family getaway. & pet friendly. Overall a nice place to chill for the weekend.

We loved it! The house was beautiful, really clean, we had the beach really close, restaurants near.

We loved everything about it. The host was wonderful, she gave us recommendations of where to go. We'll definitely come back.
