Mossy is the flagship of Forest Villas... a pet-friendly cabin in Marienville,
PA with three private outdoor zones, an indoor fireplace, and an indoor bar
that the other cabins don't have. The Forest Villas compound is included too.
This is the upgrade.

Who Mossy works for:
- Couples celebrating something (anniversary, birthday, just escape)
- Small families upgrading from a standard cabin
- Dog owners who want privacy from neighboring guests
- ATV, snowmobile, and outdoor-recreation travelers (room for trucks + trailers)

- Remote workers who need full cell + high-speed Wi-Fi

What's PRIVATE to Mossy (no sharing):
- Pergola-covered back patio with privacy fence, cushioned outdoor seating,
and a propane fire pit table
- Your own swing fire pit area

You're staying at a private 4-acre adventure compound a quarter mile from
downtown Marienville, PA.

My dog Gator and I had a very nice timeThe hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The cabin is very cozy… Only recommendation I would have is to have instructions inside the cabin on how to utilize things like the fireplace, where to take the garbage, etc.Otherwise, it was great!

I booked this cabin for my husband’s birthday and we LOVED it!!! It’s so cute and charming. Very clean, and had every amenity that we needed. The swings and fire pit are so nice and the ax throwing is such a fun additional benefit! If you stay here definitely take a walk on the property! Lol trust me it’s so worth it!! I won’t give it away because the surprise was the most fun part for us, but when you see it you’ll know!

We had the most amazing weekend getaway at this cozy little cabin. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the scenery of the little town and all the trails we hiked minutes from the cabin. We even had snow which made the trip that much more magical. Will definitely be booking again in the future. And watch out for Bigfoot

This is a beautiful and quiet location. A visiting group of deer were charming. Two fire pits and extremely comfortable spots to sit and enjoy the quiet! The cabin is just as pictured and the bed was wonderful!

Very quiet and secluded cabins, nobody else nearby. Great walking trails, especially for the dogos. Cabin was so comfortable and the backyard was an incredible hangout spot for the family! Firewood provided was an excellent touch when everywhere else is selling for $20 a bundle. We will be back for sure!

Fantastic Stay

The cabin was perfect for two adults and two small children. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The exterior included a yard with a privacy fence which is great for pets and kids.The thing that stood out to me the most is the kindness and hospitality of John, the owner/property manager. John went above and beyond to ensure we had comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying there again.

Cozy cabin

Wonderful little get away. Exactly what I had in mind when booking. Cozy, quiet, clean, such cute decorations and big back yard. I was afraid that we would be sharing all of the outside amenities, but nope completely private. Will hopefully be back again soon.

Backyard dreams

A small house that had just what we needed for the two of us and my dog. Very relaxing and loved the backyard, we went on a rainy weekend, so I can only imagine using the backyard having a cookout on a nice weekend!

Cute little cabin

The cabin was all we needed. It was clean, kept us warm, and had nice amenities. The owner was kind, had great communication, and was available if we needed anything. It was a short drive to Cooks forest, so we made that drive for some hikes every day of our stay. Great experience! Thank you!!

Family getaway

We rented this cabin and the one right next to it for a family getaway for the weekend . We all enjoyed our stay . The host Brittany was super helpful when we needed her . This is our second time here hope to return again .

Clean, fun & gorgeous cabin!

Stayed here with my two kids and we had a blast! Had a few questions for the host that were answered immediately. The cabin was well equipped, clean and we had a blast. We all enjoyed the swings by the fire pit & ax throwing!!!!

Great communication

I forgot to tell them the dog was coming. They had no problems making the adjustment. The back yard was big enough for all of us. Just close enough to all the hiking trails in Cooks Forest and Allegheny National Forest. Brittany sent a great pdf of some of the sites. She was easily available if we needed something . Wonderful to have firewood at the site. Down side was the bedroom was small but manageable. Wish we had a cutting board. We had a great time and will come back.

Amazing

Had a weekend getaway here and it was amazing. The cabin was clean and spacious, the staff was on spot with all questions and even hooked us up in light of the rain we had prior to our stay. We’re Johnny and Brittany, co-owners of Forest Villas. What began as a single property has grown into our first full raw land development, built from the ground up with one goal.. creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Johnny was raised right here in the Allegheny National Forest region and brings an insider’s knowledge of the best trails, hidden gems, and local adventures. He’s not only a dedicated businessman and visionary host, but also a proud father who loves helping guests make the most of their stay.

Brittany first came to the area on a nursing contract and, after renting one of Johnny’s cabins, joined forces as co-owner and property manager. With a background in hospitality and a passion for guest care, she helps shape everything from quick response times to the little touches that make your stay feel like home.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but more than anything, we’re excited to welcome you. Our cabins are more than just a place to stay… they’re a space for you to slow down, reconnect, and create the kind of memories you’ll never forget.

Amazing location conveniently located off Rt 66. Easy access to town and minutes away from a plethora of activities from wine tastings, to hunting and fishing, or simply relaxing in the river after a hike in the woods. Recently renovated and jam-packed with amenities; we can’t wait to share our space with you.

We pride ourselves on being available anytime a guest needs us with a 100% response rate on other platforms and donned with a Super Host title! While this cabin and listing are both new to VRBO, we can’t wait to fill up the reviews. Being able to provide you with an amazing experience is at the core of our passion.

We are located between the Allegheny national forest and the infamous cooks forest. There are several trails of varying degrees of difficulty and composure. We are very well known for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as well. If that is not your cup of tea, we are only a few minutes from the Allegheny National River. Pick a Cove and jump in or along the river front, there is a canoe/raft rental company that also provides transportation!

While in town most any essential need is available and the small close knit community will make you feel like family. Marienville is truly a hidden gem!
