This property has been beautifully redone. It was also very clean. Unfortunately it is in the basement of a house that is almost 100 years old. The outside of the house is very worn down. The musty smell that hit us upon entering was very off-putting. We immediately knew that we could not stay in a unit with such a strong musty smell. Not only was the smell uncomfortable, but it also made me nervous that it was a symptom of a bigger problem, such as mold. Another issue is the extremely tight parking in the back of the house. To try to maneuver a SUV into the designated spot for this unit if there are other cars already parked, which, in my case, there were three other cars already parked and one was on a diagonal, taking up two spots, it is very tricky and not something that I wanted to be burdened with on a vacation. The owner was extremely unprofessional in text messages, using many “!”, and not addressing my concerns specifically, which made it seem as if they weren’t even reading my concerns thoroughly. The owner had owed me a refund for one night that I had to modify for over a month and I only received it back after asking multiple times and finally indicating that I was going to be filing a dispute with my credit card over the charge and contacting VRBO. Unfortunately, this owner is not easy at all to work with if you have a problem with the unit.
