We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is perfect for families of all ages. It is a great spot for a family-oriented getaway. It is peaceful, safe and surrounded by nature with lots of wildlife. The kids enjoyed feeding the goats and donkeys, in addition to playing on the playground equipment. Very beautiful view on the balcony overlooking the property and lake in the background. We even caught a few fish in the pond.Our host, Jill, was amazing. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful view and serene location. They really don’t sell the serenity of the property highly enough. While we were there for a work retreat, it was a wonderful experience. Hosts were very communicative and helpful.

Beautiful home

This home was beautiful and the it had such a peaceful relaxation. It had lots of games for the kids and we all enjoyed our stay! Jill was amazing to communicate with, she responded very quick with questions I had and was extremely sweet! 1000/10 recommend! Breath taking views, easy check in, and lots to do with the family. Would defiantly book again!

Amazing Property to Relax

I highly recommend this property for so many reasons: The communication with the property owners was amazing, as soon as I rented it, she sent me a message to answer any questions, she was always available and kind. The pictures do not do justice to this place. When we arrived we were blown away at the view. The land was so big we had a walk with the kids and it was breathtaking as we did it right before sunset. The owner left carrots for the kids to feed the goats and the kids were so happy! The house remind me a farm house, the decoration and the cleanliness of the place was great. We got to enjoy both upper and lower porches with grill and sitting area. We got to cook on the upper porch and sit outside to eat. The views were breathtaking. We got to take the kids to the lake which we rented a boat and took us only 10 minutes to get to the marina, very convenient. The grocery store was only about 7 minutes. Overall this place is fantastic to go relax and disconnect from your daily routine, you will not be disappointed. I thank the property owner for her flexibility and kindness through the whole experience. She made it so wonderful with all her details and attention throughout our experience. We will definitely going back!

Great Lake house!

We went to honor a family member whose favorite place was canyon lake, this house made it such a remarkable and genuine experience. Will definitely be coming back.

The Most Ideal Getaway

We had the best stay at Jill’s property. The house and lake was beautiful! We enjoyed paddle boarding on the lake, running, biking, and walking the trails, and feeding the goats! Jill was wonderful and checked in on us, but also gave us our space. The whole family really enjoyed this vacation and we will definitely be back!

Restful and fun family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the house very comfortable. It was well stocked and very clean. The owner made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions before and during our stay. Our three year old loved exploring the lake, feeding the goats, and playing on the playset. It exceeded our expectations and is the best VRBO experience we have experienced. We will definitely be back!

This property, and its host, is fantastic. The house and view was everything we had hoped for. It was clean, homey, beautifully decorated. There was nothing lacking for our one week stay! First time VRBO renter. I'm afraid nothing else will come this close to perfection!!

We loved El Rancho Regenia!

My family and I visited El Rancho Regenia over Texas spring break, and we had the best stay! The house itself was exceptional-- it was very clean, well stocked with items (kitchen, bathrooms), comfortable beds/pillows, baby items (PNP, highchair, etc), quiet, and inviting. The grounds are so unique! Situated directly on Canyon Lake, the breeze was constant, cool, and well received! My boys (6&4) had blast catching brim in the well-stocked, clean, pond as well as searching for turtles. Jill left us carrots to feed the donkeys as well as items for s'mores-- which we all loved! The location was excellent for day trips out into the hill country. We explored Canyon City/the trails around the dam, and South Trail on the Guadalupe. We visited Gruene and Wimberly, as well as Natural Bridge Cavern. Highly recommend visiting the caves! We will be back in the future and recommend for families of all ages! Thanks, Jill!

Rancho “Relaxation” Regenia

We had a lovely time at Rancho Regenia. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Everything was so clean and organized. The kitchen had every tool and appliance we could possibly need, and there was plenty of fun for everyone in our group… volleyball, fishing, the playset, the animals. Jill is a very caring and responsive host. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We definitely would go back!

Another Wonderful Stay

This is an amazing home that is exactly as advertised. We love it so much this was a return visit for our family. We had a much needed extended Memorial Day vacation for our busy family of six.

Beautiful, Quiet Place

This property is beautiful and you’d be hard pressed to find one better! We had 8 people in our group—4 adults and 4 kids. There’s plenty to do for everyone: kayaking at the lake, fishing the pond, feeding the goats, playing at the playground, playing basketball, watching the deer, cooking on the smoker in the outdoor kitchen, having some drinks and making s’mores around the fire pit and enjoying the lake view while eating dinner on the deck. The host was great and stayed in touch to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended!

Wonderful getaway

Lovely home with farm animals on the grounds and access to Canyon Lake. We had a wonderful family reunion. The stairs to the lower level were a little dangerous for grandparents with joint issues, so they stayed on the main level (kids 3+ did not have problems with stairs). Wonderful porch with great views of the sunset and wild deer.

Stop searching - this is the place!

While part of me doesn't want the word to get out...I'd like to keep this place all to myself...I had to review this amazing property! Very few places offer such an amazing experience. The 25 acres includes a fishing pond, kids play area, basketball hoop, swimming area, animals to feed and pet and so many deer! We had 5 adults and 5 kids stay for four nights at El Rancho Reginia. The adults loved hanging out on the upper deck on the porch swing watching the wildlife and enjoying coffee or cocktails. The kids played...well...all over. Ranging in ages from 4-9, I felt very safe letting them run and roam on this private property. They walked down to feed the animals and play on the play equipment and had space to just be kids. Translation - not one of them asked for electronics for four days. Win! While the property is one of a kind, the service is incredible. I very much appreciate attention to detail and Jill clearly makes this her mission. From the moment I walked in and saw the fresh flowers in the kitchen and heard music playing softly throughout the house...I knew I made the right choice. (Also...the house smelled amazing...just a side note!) Everything is impeccably clean, sheets and beds were amazing and the house has several living areas that allowed for families to spread out. I can't say enough good things about this property and the owner. Thank you Jill for opening your home and property to us and to other families. This is an experience we would not have had otherwise and we can't thank you enough. Lindsay

Originally from Houston, my family and I moved to Austin in 1980. After our children graduated from Lake Travis High School, we decided that a move to the country was in order. So in 2000, we built our home on Canyon Lake and by 2001, were full time residents. Once settled in, I began to adopt farm animals and from there it has grown by leaps and bounds. Who would think that a city girl would become a farm girl?

"El Rancho Regenia" was originally built as my parents retirement home in the mid-80's. After my parents were gone, I was fortunate enough to purchase this beautiful property, that meant so much to them, and expand the farm. From the time it was constructed, our family and friends have enjoyed this very special place on Canyon Lake. "El Rancho Regenia" holds many precious memories of when our children were young and the times we spent here. We are now making many new memories with our own grandchildren in this very special place.

One of my greatest joys is the ability to share "El Rancho Regenia" with wonderful families who want to experience a little bit of the country life while enjoying the company of family and friends. My hope is that this will continue for many years to come...
