This convenient 1st floor condo at Mistral, Bare Feet Retreat, puts your patio right at the beach boardwalk access. Head out your back door and you're on the beach in seconds! Even better? This unit comes with free seasonal beach setup that includes 2 chairs, 1 umbrella, and 1 table.

Mistral 1 is a great modern and updated unit with a queen bedroom plus a sofa sleeper in the living area. The bathroom features dual sinks and a tub/shower combination. For your convenience, there is also a washer and dryer in the unit.

Pack your bags and get ready for the beach vacation you've always dreamed about! Mistral 1 offers everything you need for your 30A vacation - Gulf views, easy beach access and a great location for shopping, dining & other Emerald Coast activities.

Mistral:
Enjoy easy access to the beautiful beach walkover with a stay at Mistral. Put your toes in the sand in just minutes. The quiet beach area offers families a special vacation getaway, yet it's close to great shopping and restaurants. The complex is located between Rosemary Beach and Seagrove Beach allowing for swift access to a variety of shopping and dining venues spread out along the coast. The 19-mile paved bike path that parallels the entire length of the scenic Highway 30A is conveniently located in front of the building.

30A:
30A is a scenic stretch of highway down Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast between Destin and Panama City Beach. The highway connects the coastal villages of South Walton through the undisturbed beauty of rare dune lakes, sugar white sand, and emerald waters indigenous to the area. Each village has its own unique characteristics that paint a fairytale-like scene against some of the country’s most beautiful beaches. Come live the 30A life and experience the beach the way it was meant to be, where Southern Charm meets Bohemian Lifestyle and unforgettable vacation memories are created.

Your stay at Mistral 1 – Bare Feet Retreat comes with Xplorie’s best activities! A Benchmark welcome bag and initial starter kit of amenities are provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, and 1 liner for each trashcan. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

Looking outside there is a fence and gate you see instead of this nice view of the ocean in the picture. Also people are constantly walking in front of your window to get to the beach. So there is NO privacy if you have the curtains open. The condo was very clean, but there was an overwelming smell walking into the was some sort of air freshener, or a heavily scented cleaning product. The refrigerator smelled like there was an open jug of clorox in it. Which I guess is better than it being dirty, but the smells were very overpowering.

Not impressed

Arrived at 5:30 pm with door code in hand…didn’t work…called Benchmark, the rep. On duty was not familiar with property, kept referring to an incorrect address. Eventually door code was changed and I was able to get in. Benchmark did check back and I explained that the lock still. was not working on the first try they said they would investigate…three days later I checked out, lock was still an issue . Interior is very dated, lots of diy for your money just not worth it.

Fantastic Stay!

Only compliments about our stay, the updated renovation, and the included cookware. We brought our own beach chairs which was a good idea because the included beach chairs and umbrella are not available during the winter months due to the contracted beach-side service. The easy walk out access to the beach was wonderful for early morning walks on the beach. We would love to stay there again.

The mattress in the bedroom was uncomfortable and could be replaced. The light in the kitchen was broken and needs to be fixed. The curtain on one of the windows was hanging on by a screw and almost falling off.

The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked great on a hot Florida day. If you want to make a pot of coffee, make sure you bring your own filters. They had plenty of dishes and glasses. There was some unfinished drywall in the bedroom/bathroom area that made it feel a little ghetto. The TV in loving room worked great. I just logged into streaming apps on my phone and mirrored it to the TV. The TV in the bedroom would not allow this feature. The view of the beach was blocked by the ramp leading out. On a positive note, the location was great, parking was easy, and the EXTREMELY easy access to the beach. Chairs and an umbrella are available on the beach, but I would rather use my own chairs and tent for shade. Overall, I’d probably stay again.

I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a member of the team getting the correct code to let our family in when we arrived. Upon arrival, WiFi and TV did not function. Notified management multiple times and this was never resolved. The location was beautiful and access to the beach was great. If the management team would be more “on top” of problems that occurred this would have been an excellent stay.

Peaceful, easy getaway!

We arrived to find easy parking right next to our room. We did have to call to get a new door code when we arrived, but it was an easy process. We found the room exceptionally clean! We loved the patio overlooking the water and the close proximity to the beach. The stairs to scale down to the beach are a bit steep— I can imagine littles and folk with bad knees may struggle. It’s because of the dunes. We absolutely loved that it came with seasonal beach chairs and an umbrella so we didn’t have to drag our stuff up and down. If your room has comp chairs (which this one does), then it is first come first serve to get a pair of chairs/umbrella. We had no issue with this as we loved getting to the beach early (7-8AM) to start our day. You can “claim” by placing towels and such on the chairs. If there are pink name tags on back, those are paid for by other guests without comp rooms I’m assuming. I do wish the back sliding door (which leads to patio then directly to boardwalk) could be locked from the outside. We did not want to leave the room unlocked so we had to go around the front and side to get to the board walk. Honestly not a big deal, but could be a good addition. A few minor cons: no salt/pepper, only 1 roll of toilet paper, big curtains that cover the beautiful glass sliding door are kind of hard to pull. You’ll want them shut at night for privacy. Just a short drive to shops/food! I would not say this is walkable to much, but could be bikable!

Location is great, lots of up and down to the beach, buts that’s about everywhere on 30A. No concerns with the unit itself whatsoever. We did have some confusion on the entry code, as we were sent one to use IF we arrived early. We did not arrive early, yet the original code did not function as it should have. That could have been done differently I think. We were a little discouraged to learn the “complimentary chairs and table” actually did not include the table, and meant first come first serve. So, 630 or 7 am found us trekking down the stairs to “claim” chairs with our towels. A little confusion also where the tv is concerned. A Roku remote implied to us Netflix and Hulu possibly were available, but we just could not make it happen. Maybe a note with instructions? Finally, we had maintenance guys on our patio doing work for several hours on one afternoon. It would have been nice to know in advance if our patio would be unavailable to us at any time during our stay. Overall tho— the place was very nice. Updated, comfortable bed, plenty of towels, and a great view.

It provided a quiet spot on the coast for relaxing and taking walks, as well as easy access to other areas along the coast for exploring, hiking, and enjoying local farmer's markets, fish markets and local restaurants, as well as convenient access for groceries. I found it thoughtfully equipped, clean and comfortable, with a tasteful beach vibe!

We were moved here due to construction at our original choice. The location is great- we love being beachfront and within biking distance of Rosemary and Alys Beach. If I’m being honest, the condo is OK. The view of the beach from the balcony is obstructed by the walkway. We love to watch the waves while having coffee and you can’t see the waves from this unit. The bed was not comfortable and the floors throughout the unit feel like a sticker, rather than real vinyl. We also thought from the description of this condo that we would have beach chairs included but upon arriving and asking about it, they were not since we came outside of the warm weather season. The fridge is also very small. Otherwise, we enjoyed our trip. We won’t stay in this condo again and likely won’t use Benchmark again - very late notice on the condo we chose being unavailable. But again, this location is wonderful and we did enjoy our vacation very much. Also - props on having games! We played scrabble and Jenga and had a great time with that.

Quick get away

It was a nice spot, well equipped, easy in ( first floor) and out ( boardwalk right to the water). A few daily needs were met with kindness and promptness. The bed in the main room is a queen, it was comfortable but may need updating in the future. There was also a pull out couch but we didn’t use it. If you love sunsets, this is your spot .

The location was wonderful as we ventured to Rosemary beach and seaside which we were situated right between. The fact that we could get to the beach so easily from the condos porch we a huge plus for us with a two year old. I would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely condo and beach

This unit is on the first floor. There is a very short flight of stairs to the first floor with parking in front of the unit. This made loading and loading very easy. This property is conveniently located on 30A close to restaurants and shopping. Evenings were quiet without the noise of traffic or rowdy groups. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the temperatures in an excellent range. The patio is also a great place to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Condo was nicely decorated and clean, boardwalk to beach came right up to back patio but people with bad knees need to be aware of how many steps there are on the boardwalk to beach (3 flights), beach was great and chairs and umbrella were setup and ready for us, housekeeping needs to leave access to essentials (such as toilet paper- there was only ONE roll available), traffic in and out is very congested during certain times of the day, there were bicycles there but we didn't use them, drove thru Rosemary Beach which had nice shady areas, shopping, and places to eat.

The only downfall about this place is that it is located right next door to a public beach. There was not coded gate to keep those individuals out of the Mistral property and they were going back and forth which was scary. They were parking on 30A and using the Mistral as their beach entrance. Other than this concern we had a great stay.

Overall great stay

Overall we loved our week on the beach. It was so nice to go up and down to the beach within steps. We loved the beach chairs/umbrella came with setup and having breakfast on the porch with ocean view each morning. There aren’t a lot of restaurants nearby, but Alys beach is a must see. The only drawbacks was the bed. I’m not particularly picking on this, but the mattress was terrible both my husband and I woke up with sore backs each day. Management please get a new mattress. Also, keep in mind you only get ONE roll of toilet paper for the week and 2 dishwasher pods/laundry. You might want to bring extra. We would love to come back if they can update this couple minor things.
