Waterfront King Beds Pet Friendly Deck Home with Dock & Views.

The second floor is all yours. Beautiful sunrise views from the decks and dock, great sunsets from the dock. Good fishing. Close to boat ramp and park. All newer space best setup for up to six people (2 Kings, 1 Queen Bed) with great functionality, decks & open space. 8 miles off I-95 and 1 mile off Old Hwy 6 and Red Bank Road. Note: Nominal construction going on nearby. Parents of small children will want to supervise outdoor activities. Please be aware that the lower level is an Owners Villa that is used occasionally when in the area. The lower level suite is not rented, and when in use does not interfere with guest’s use of the property, dock etc. You are welcome to park your boat in either driveway on our property, but please try to leave general access to the house front door area. The garage is rarely accessed so you are welcome to park in front of it.
The boat ramp is 7 doors down - less than 600’ from our place. If you are familiar with the lake, you will know that storms can come up in a matter of minutes. We encourage people to take their boats out at night and anytime they are going to be away. Other than that, you are welcome to tie up to the dock with the understanding that you accept responsibility for any damages caused to the dock and/ or seawall as a result of the boat being left tied up there. All pictures in this listing are of the space included in this rental.

Our first time here for vacation, we love the house the location. It’s a great place if you want to unplug and relax and fish and riding a boat we will definitely do that again.

Nice peaceful place, caught some big fish. Owner was very nice and accommodating. We were able to check in early after our plans for that day got cut short which was so nice. Ran into the owner once but other than that it was private.

Enjoyed our stay. Wish there had been a way to turn out the lights on the plant ledge. It was beautiful but was too much light for us at night and in the morning.

So sorry to hear about now. The lights are controlled by a power cord and switch that hang down the wall behind the TV. Easily managed had we known of the concern. We always encourage our guests to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Beautiful Location!

Found out upon arrival that owners were living there as well, which was not advertised on VRBO. Owners were kind and didnt affect the trip. There was some construction to the deck and seawall during stay, not bothersome, just unexpected. Recommend providing some fisherman friendly items; fish cleaning sink, rod holders mounted to deck, etc. Lakes Marion and Moultrie are in the top 5 for catfishing destinations in the U.S., would bring some vacationers looking to fish. Enjoyed the stay.

Lake House

Nice property. Very quiet neighborhood on lake. Unit was clean and owner provides linens and towels. A plus because many rentals in the area do not. Rental is upstairs private unit with owner downstairs. Laundry and 1/2 bath are downstairs next to entry and are shared. We enjoyed our stay and view of the lake!!

Great Location

We loved our stay at Lake Marian & the view from the living room and back deck was awesome! We loved watching the squirrels scamper around on the surrounding trees & on the deck. The house was comfortable, especially the beds. The shower was amazing! This place has had a lot of updates. And it was super-quiet. The host was extremely accommodating. The location is excellent. Just an hour's drive to Congaree National Park, 1 & 1/2 hour to the ocean at Charleston with great beaches, & many other sights in the area that we enjoyed!

They did let us check in early which we appreciated. While property was beautiful and had a gorgeous view of the lake. Parking the boat was a little difficult to maneuver around the trees. I wanted to love the property, we found the the accommodations not as clean as we would have liked. It is beautifully decorated, the shower needed cleaning, there was dirt and dog hair in the living room( and we are dog owners) I get it, it is hard to keep track of but this had been there a while. The microwave was not clean, there bits of food in it. When checking in, the owner said “oh the cockroaches will drive you crazy” we just kinda stood there like what? But no Scott proceeds to say just kill them and send me a picture of it! I will say we did kill several of them but I would not take a picture of them. My husband and our friend that was with us and myself really would not stay again.

Property was not the cleanest on arrival. Dog hair, chips on the floor and dried pee on toilet was some of what we saw. Owners were not there but until reading reviews we did not know they ‘may or may not’ be on the lower level. Door did not always lock like it was suppose to either.

Lovely property on Lake Marion

We enjoyed this property as an escape from bike week in Myrtle Beach. It was lovely and quiet, surrounded by beautiful old live oaks. Once you navigated the stairs, which are rather steep, the door opens into a wonderful living space with three bedrooms, a complete kitchen and a living room with a view of the lake. There are two decks and the larger one, off the living room, has a lovely view of the lake. Each bedroom has a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. The downside is, if you are bringing family members, there is only one bathroom. The shower is amazing and there is a powder room at the foot of the stairs.

Owners live below

We were not aware the owners lived in the lower level of the home. I wil say they were very nice people....but the patios were a mess, dock had no electric for a boat and was was under serious repair. No trash bags in the waste cans

Unfortunately Luke doesn’t read well. Our listing is very clear that this is an upper level unit of two in the house. It is also a lakefront property, and the decks are outside under trees which are constantly dropping leaves etc. The pictures reflect this clearly. The suite is snd was clean and the decks are very useable. If you were expecting the Ritz Carlton for the price of a reasonable motel stay, that would be on the guest. The price reflects the reality. Please be aware when renting and read the listing. Most find this arrangement to be very good value for a lake view suite under the trees with lots of space where you can also bring your dog. In fairness, this guest had unusually cold weather throughout their stay, but not fair to take it out on the host….

Scott was very easy to communicate with. The property was spacious inside. My family enjoyed fishing from the dock. There’s a park close by for swimming. Besides the lake, we did not find much to do around the area.

Our neighborhood is a private dead end enclave of just 100 homes mostly laid out as a subdivision in 1964. Many of our neighbors have owned their places since the beginning, and we have a great community spirit here!

Our property is the largest lot in a main row of 18 waterfront lots and it has a number of large trees that we have worked hard to protect. Our proximity to a boat landing and park 7 doors away, combined with our access to I-95 and I-26 and being one hour from Charleston and less to Columbia make this an ideal spot to enjoy a lakefront vacation. Our sunrises down the lake most mornings are spectacular, and we also have a great view of sunsets up the lake from our dock - plus the fishing is generally great!!
