Your Gateway to Fun. Nisswa is the perfect getaway!

Poplar Retreat is the perfect getaway for the Brainerd Lakes Region. Walk to downtown Nisswa, hike, bike, boat, snowmobile - its right out the door. Hit the greens with tons of nearby golf courses. Or hangout in the TV & game room. Just add you! Our home is surrounded by trees in a quiet neighborhood. Check out our Old Bunkhouse we renovated from an old structure. It reminds us of our kid days at overnight camp. But much nicer!
Note: Pets are welcome (dogs) with a $75 pet fee per dog per stay.

Loved the stay at this house. A bit of a miscommunication on the amount of available rooms and beds compared to the listing online but still very enjoyable

Great Family Getaway!

We had such a great week! The cabin exceeded our expectations! It was fully stocked and communication with the owners was great. The location was perfect for what we wanted to experience this trip, a couple of boat days on Gull, half day boat day on Lower Cullen, shopping/dining in Nisswa, Paul Bunyan Land, go-karts and mini golf all so close by. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, we made some great family memories!

Great and Relaxing Weekend!

My friends and I spent a long weekend at, "Your Gateway to Fun" and couldn't have had a better time! The property was extremely clean, well kept, and exactly the size we were looking for to comfortable house 6 people. The kitchen/Grill was fully stocked with everything you could imagine to facilitate a great meal. The outdoor space, with the back deck and fire pit, was definitely a highlight of our weekend. The property is just .7 miles away from Nisswa town center which was a welcomed surprise! I would stay here again without a doubt!

Great Nisswa Getaway

We spent a fantastic 2 weeks at this property in July/August of 2022. The location is a very short hop to the main drag in Nisswa. Easy walk to plenty of restaurants and shops. The place was just as advertised and very well stocked with everything you might need. We were very comfortable for our lengthy stay. The owner was on the ball with communication throughout the entire process. Definitely recommend and will be on our list next year when we are back in the area.

Excellent place to stay in Nisswa!

This property was great! My friends and I wanted to check out some of the amazing golf courses in this area but didn't want to be tied to one specific resort. We found this awesome house located in Nisswa, which was centrally located between many of the courses. The house had everything we needed for our stay and more. It was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.
