Book your Sunset Beach vacation at this lovely 5-bedroom, 4-bath vacation rental house, perfect for large family reunion or group getaway. The 2,600-square-foot interior is filled with multiple living areas, 2 kitchens, and plenty of ways out to access pristine beaches. Walk over to Sunset Beach Fishing Pier and drop a line, leave a personal message at the Kindred Spirit Mailbox, book a tee time at nearby golf courses, and feast on delicious seafood at local restaurants during your stay!

The Property

Wake up early and head to the fully equipped kitchen upstairs or well-equipped kitchen downstairs to start making breakfast for the entire group. Once you've filled everyone's bellies, head to the outdoor deck for your daily dose of sunshine!

To beat the heat during the summertime and to stay warm during the winter, lounge in either cozy living room and enjoy beach-themed art along with multiple windows that light up the area. Kids will love spending their nights in the downstairs living room playing Monopoly at the game table located next to the exposed brick wall.

Evenings are best spent rallying the whole group and enjoying a cocktail on the outdoor deck while watching the sunset over the trees! Cook up some juicy burgers for everyone on the charcoal grill outside and lounge in the ground floor lawn chairs while you wait for your food.

This unit features all of the modern conveniences you could need during your stay, including wireless internet access, an outdoor shower, in-unit laundry machines, and 4 pristine bathrooms to rinse off in.

Nor'easter prevented us from using the beach, but the house was very comfortable to accomodate our multigenerational family. Location was close enough for us to enjoy inside attractions in Myrtle Beach.

Perfect Vacation

Disappointing Stay – Renters, BewareThe location was excellent, but unfortunately that was one of the few positives. The house was not clean and was not ready at check-in. Although the owner eventually sent cleaners (after about 30 minutes), he offered very little compensation for the disruption. The cleaning crew took four hours, meaning we couldn’t fully check in until nighttime.This was especially difficult with family members who had flown in from out of state and three children under the age of five. To make matters worse, we discovered a pigeon actively nesting on the outdoor hose (rendering it unusable), visible mold in one of the bathrooms, and malfunctioning TV controls. Overall, the experience fell far short of Vrbo’s “Book with Confidence” standard. We tried to work with the property manager and his response was to be “grateful” they could get someone to clean that night. We treated the cleaners with respect and we left the house in better shape than what we found it. Unfortunately the property manager did not prioritize customer experience. If you rent here be aware and make sure you know why you’re getting into.

This renter was basically disgruntled about the amount of refund I gave him for the inconvenience for my cleaner overlooking cleaning on her calendar prior to this guests check in. I understand it disappointing to have this happen, but people make mistakes. This first text I got was at 4:39pm. I immediately contacted our cleaner and she was over there within 30 minutes and finished cleaning and notified us at 8pm that she was done. That is 2 hours and 40 minutes to clean a 5BR/4BA house, by herself. Of course we had no control over a bird building a nest on our hose. Our cleaner would not destroy an active nesting birds nest but if the guests wanted to use the hose, he could have shooed the bird away and removed the nest, not a big deal. Also there is no mold on the bathroom ceiling. That is a stain from excessive moisture in the bathroom fan during this excessive heat experienced during this southern heat wave this summer. I expected this retaliatory review. He wanted a whole days rent as compensation and I agreed to and did give him 1/2 days rent for his 3 hours a twenty minute delay.

Our group of two families (adults and teens) stayed here and had a great time! The house was perfect for our needs, and we had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. The location was great (less than 5 min walk to the beach), and the property was exactly as described. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful beach house!

Well appointed home, so conveniently close to the beach and yet private. Lots of room for people to play games or do their own thing. Heck/in i fo from host made it easy to find everything.

Wonderful place!

We stayed 5 nights and loved every bit of it. This property is in perfect walking distance to the beach, plenty of bedrooms, and living areas are well suited for all ages. Everyone from my crawling baby, to elderly parents enjoyed this house. Host was easy to work with and communicated quickly and precisely when needed.

Amazing rental for a larger group and very kid friendly. We took a mom's trip with kids of all ages ranging from 6-15 years old and this fit our needs perfectly. The pictures don't do this rental justice. The downstairs level was separate so it was great for the older kids to hangout without disturbing the younger ones that went to be earlier. One block from the beach, close to all the island shops and ice cream. Easy drive to grocery stores, etc. This location is perfect. The host was very responsive and clear on his directions for check in and out. We def will be returning here!

Sunset Beach getaway

We stayed with my children, grandchild, aunt, and father. This place was set up perfectly for large range of ages. Steps were only complaint by elderly parties but not bad at all. They would all come back again! Walk to the beach was wonderful, this location was perfect for us. Great place, will be back!

Two week stay with grand kids

The kitchen had more than adequate supplies and utensils. It made cooking meals just perfect. The house was clean with room for all seven of us. The downstairs was perfect for two girls and two boys. This is our third year as a family (I've been coming for years and years). We love Sunset Beach. Thanks for your hospitality.

Sunset Beach

Our stay was great except for the weather. It was cold and rainy the entire time. The walk to the beach was longer than shown in the pictures and the shower in the bedroom upstairs was very small. It is a nice property in which to stay. Not much parking space and a few too many stairs for us older folks.

Richard and Nancy reside in Black Mountain, NC. Both have vacationed at this house since the early 1970s. First owned and built by the Turner family from Ridgecrest, NC and purchased by Nancy's parents 1990s. After her parent's deaths, we purchased from the estate in 2017. Richard is in the insurance and property management business in Black Mountain and Nancy is a retired teacher. They have 3 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren. We are just "plain ole people" who like to share the house with like-minded folks.

It's spacious, comfortable, convenient, clean and well stocked. The main kitchen upstairs has everything you need, including a hand thrown set of pottery dished by well know McDowell County, NC potters Derrick and John Garrou. Derrick is a son-in-law!! Downstairs kitchen is smaller but has all you need to cook a breakfast or fix a quick lunch. Both Kitchens have full size appliances. Since we have young grandkids it has plenty of things for kids.
