Welcome to Hideaway on the Bay — a cozy beach cottage in the heart of Kye Bay, just 20 seconds from the sand. Whether you’re traveling with kids, dogs, or just a good book, this warm and pet-friendly home offers the perfect mix of character and comfort.



Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms plus a double pull-out sofa, a renovated bathroom with a skylight above the shower, and an updated kitchen with a central island and new appliances. The enclosed front porch is a favorite feature, ideal for morning coffee or quiet evenings.



We’ve stocked the home with books, board games, and beach toys for younger guests. There’s also a high chair and pack-and-play for families with little ones. For dogs, we provide a bed, bowl, and waste bags — and the fenced backyard backs onto trees for added privacy.



Additional amenities include a propane BBQ, electric fireplace, and fast Wi-Fi. You’re walking distance to a beachfront playground and just a short beach stroll to Air Force Beach. Whether you’re watching the Snowbirds fly overhead in spring or enjoying a peaceful winter retreat, Hideaway on the Bay offers simple, memorable comfort year-round.

Very nice Beach house. Has character! Hard time getting it to cool off in the evening.Not a fault of the house. We would stay there again.

This was a lovely little cottage, close to beach-very nice to have an access path to beach right across street. Happy to find folding chairs to take to beach after not being able to pack our own- adding this to listing would be helpful. Very clean with nice linens and towels although the bunk beds were made backwards with pillows at opposite end

This is a very charming cottage in a beautiful location just steps from the beach. It is very comfortable and well equipped and the perfect abode for us and our two dogs. The host provided lots of information and easy instructions and was responsive to any questions we had.

This little cottage is clean, homey, well-stocked, and lots of nice hot water for showers. When I booked, one of the photos made it look like it was waterfront...I didn't check the details, so that was a tiny bit disappointing...but it's only one street back. We were there in spring for biking in Cumberland. It's a 30 min drive, but worth it, to stay near the ocean. The backyard was great to store our bikes. We used the gas fire to heat the space as it was still chilly. Communication with our host was great.

This home is filled with wonderful for features that will charm you like the bespoke mosaic in the bathroom and the driftwood shelf in the living room. A welcoming beach house with every thing you need to enjoy your stay. Lots of towels, very comfortable beds, double oven (!), basket of toys to entertain our toddler, books and games on the shelf to wile away a rainy day. Hosts have everything set up to be easy!

The location of this property was perfect for pets and children. The cabin is funky and playful with comfy vibes. The bathroom with the deep tub, skylight and mosaic tiles made for a relaxing spa-like retreat. The big island in the kitchen, made for a fantastic prep and cook area and I will mention the king size bed was comfortable and the bedding was soft. The fenced in yard was another additional bonus with pets and children. We will definitely will be back! Thank you Chris for all your hospitality! :)

What a charming spot! We seemed to have arrived in Comox on the first day of summer and it was delightful the entire time. Our host was very helpful and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy this peaceful, beach community.

Lovely spot- great location!

Location is literally steps away from one of the nicest beaches. Only short drive into town, shopping, dining, and ice cream! Great location to visit Comox or Courtney. Property was exactly as listed, with many comforts provided (beach towels, toys, fans, fully stocked kitchen). Just note, location is not walkable to any amenities, so a vehicle is a must.

Nice place! Beautiful location.

We had a great trip to stay in Comox. The home is clean, beautiful and unique. The location was quiet and wonderful for our dog who enjoys the beach.
