Above it all yet close to Playa Avellanas and the surf mecca Tamarindo.
A serene place to retreat in the cooling breezes after a day of adventuring. Watch for Howler Monkeys in the trees from the patio.

Hiking, biking, golfing, surfing, zip lining all nearby.

Not the best experience

Place is falling apart. kitchen cabinet doors are in pretty bad shape. there was a leak under the kitchen sink that got all utensils wet; but we could not figure out the source of the leak. We found two scorpions, one in the living room and another in the bedroom, in this same bedroom we had a ant invasion one night. We understand that this is a tropical country but no matter what, it was a scare specially with little children in the house. The roads leading to the home are dirt roads. do not recommend during raining season. the nearest beach is good 35mins away. The staff and host were very accommodating with everything else and assured us that they will fumigate the home to avoid more insects. Pool is nice and big. but because of the constant wind there as a lot of debris in the pool.

Thank you for the recommendation. As we explained we have strict fumigation guidelines however you must take into account that Pinilla Highlands is located in the country side where we are integrated in nature. The nearest beach is Avellanas and is only 15 minutes away. Also take into consideration that you came into the windiest month of the year so leaves fall into the swimming pool every minute and we clean every 2 hours. The kitchen cabinets are in perfect condition our team could not find any problems with it.
