Wagon Wheel House in the Village of Palisades is a spacious and inviting canyon retreat perfect for families, friends, or groups. Start your day on the enclosed front porch, rocking gently while watching deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife roam across the property and enjoying the peaceful canyon views.

Inside, the home comfortably sleeps your group in three soft queen-size beds. The fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, while the living room invites you to relax on a cozy couch and watch a movie on the 72" TV. Step outside to the common area, where comfortable chairs and a BBQ grill await for al fresco dining under the wide Texas sky.

The surrounding area offers plenty to explore. Hike and photograph the stunning Palo Duro Canyon, visit the legendary Big Texan Steak Ranch, or check out the quirky Cadillac Ranch. My husband and I and another couple really enjoyed staying here for for several nights. Every day we saw mule deer near the house! It was very clean, comfortable, and close to Palo Duro Canyon State Park! We loved walking over to the neighborhood park, and the guys enjoyed fishing as well. There is a Kuereg coffee maker and k-cups.

The property is in a lovely area where deer, rabbits and birds provide peaceful watching. The house is clean and spacious. There is a fire pit outside and a large table and chairs on the patio. the kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable.

We really enjoyed our weekend away hiking at Palo Duro and staying at the Wagon Wheel House. It had everything we needed. The owner was an incredible communicator…changing our dates when needed and making it so easy. She even took care of a little cute raccoon issue. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Awesome location and amenities

Loved the cleanliness of the property, the amenities provided, the ease of acess to the nearest city (fuel station in 3 miles), and a quite neighborhood. Would love to come back here.

My family stayed 6 days for a wedding at Palo Duro Canyon. The home was clean and the beds comfortable. I needed to do some baking for the wedding and the owner supplied me with a stand mixer. There were plenty dishes for the family. Not a ton of cooking pots/ pans but we made them work. There were also plenty of towels and even toys/ games for the grandbaby. The owner was great at communicating quickly. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great location

Perfect space for our needs! We loved being close enough to Palo Duro and Amarillo for easy day trips. The spacious living room gave us plenty of room and the kitchen was great for preparing most of our meals at home.

Loved our stay

Me and my family loved staying at this place. We went for Christmas to stay away from all the city noise. Host was very nice and comprehensive on having some other family members go for a few hours as it was my mother's birthday.
