Surrounded by towering red rock cliffs and abundant wildlife, this spacious three-bedroom home offers the perfect balance of nature and comfort. Step outside to explore the five-acre property, where deer and wild turkeys often wander, or relax on the porch and soak in the quiet beauty of the canyon.

Inside, you’ll find a roomy layout designed for relaxation. The master bedroom features a king-size bed that’s not too firm or too soft—just right for a restful night’s sleep. The other bedrooms offer queen beds, ensuring comfort for every guest. The living room invites you to stretch out on a super-comfy couch while gazing through the large picture window at the natural surroundings. A fully stocked kitchen provides everything you need to cook a homemade meal, from morning coffee to a full family dinner.

Amelia is a wonderful host. During our stay we had some torrential rain. She was quick to contact me to make sure everything was all right and asked if we needed anything. We were in good shape but I appreciated her concern. The property fit our group perfectly and we very much enjoyed our three day stay. Our group will be in town for the same event next year and I will certainly be contacting Amelia!

The home was nice. It was quiet. The spider crickets were bad. Two small scorpions under the trash can. The goat heads were everywhere. I picked off goat heads after evey trip outside minimum of 5. The spider crickets would crawl on you while you slept waking me up. I needed a place to stay that was in this area. The wild life was nice to watch. Overall a nice home except the bugs and stickers.

We are surprised to hear about the concerns regarding the insects, as we did not receive any communication about these issues during your month-long stay. Had we known, we would have been happy to address the concerns and do what we could to make your stay more comfortable. The house is located in a natural canyon environment, where wildlife, insects, and native vegetation are part of the surroundings. While we routinely address pest issues and maintain the property, it is not possible to completely eliminate wildlife or naturally occurring vegetation such as goat heads in a rural canyon setting. We appreciate your positive comments about the home and peaceful location, and we wish you the best in your future travels.

We had a very nice stay here. It was conveniently located between Palo Duro Canyon and Amarillo. All beds were comfortable. Amelia was extremely helpful, and she responded very quickly to any requests or needs we had.

Great Palo Duro getaway

Tucked Away

Very close to Palo Duro and Amarillo proper. Tucked out of the way but very accessible. Great option if you're traveling with a dog - large yard and plenty of room to run.

Summer Road Trip

We had a great time! We stopped here on our way to Colorado, driving from South Texas. We visited Palo Duro Canyon, which was amazing! We ate at the Big Texan Steakhouse, so much fun! The house was great!
