Escape the summer crowds and join Crystal Shoals Vacation Rentals at the Bedloe located in the quiet, family-friendly The Point neighborhood on Emerald Isle, NC. Completely renovated in 2021, this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath 1/2 duplex sleeps 6 and is a perfect getaway for multiple couples or families. This professionally maintained space is less than 70 yards from access to the widest, most pristine beach on the Crystal Coast.

The ground floor entryway offers plenty of storage for all of your beach gear, as well as a large laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer. On the second level, guests will find queen and king bedrooms with plenty of closet space to hold a week's-worth of bathing suits and beachwear along with a shared, full bathroom. At the end of the hallway, an expansive master suite with a large private deck is perfect for relaxing after a long day in the sand.

On the third level, the well-appointed kitchen has everything you need to make a home-cooked meal and plenty of seating if you decide to enjoy take out from one of the local restaurants instead. This level also boast a large living room that opens to a deck with plenty of outdoor seating options.

Choose the beach or our gorgeous 16’x30’ LED-lit pool. Shared by both sides of the duplex, this pool is as large as most condominium pools with its sprawling 42’x46’ turfed deck, ample swimming space, and a large wading area for little ones or sun bathing - big enough to accommodate everyone in your group. This addition gives you the option of the beach or the pool as a place to relax and cool off, so come swim with us this summer! Please note, that this pool is not heated.

Just 70 yards from the driveway is a public access to the largest, widest beach on the Crystal Coast. You'll be hard-pressed to find another second or third row property with such ease-of-access to the beach. The receding tide reveals some of the best sea shell finds on the island. Carry your finds, along with all the family beach gear, back to property with the provided beach wagon.

**We only accept Saturday-to-Saturday bookings from Memorial Day to Labor Day**

The property has two sets of stairs that may be difficult for some guests to navigate.

The entrances and parking lot are under 24/7 video surveillance for your security. There are no cameras inside the home or private areas.

The check in process was effortless. The house was clean and very family friendly. The living room had a comfy couch my family of 5 used. The pool was my kids favorite part! It was perfect! The one thing I would point out about the house is that there are 30 steps up to the kitchen and living room area. There are 14 steps up to the bedroom. The listing does state that the kitchen is on the 3rd floor. The other thing would like to point out is that while the beach access is very close to the property( as mentioned in the listing), there is quite a long walk from the beach access to the actual beach. You have to go down a dune, up a dune and back down and then walk to the beach. My family of 5 was able to navigate it but it was long for me. :). Overall we were very happy with the rental! The pool was perfect! If the beach access was closer we would definitley return.

Location, location, location

The location is amazing! We were so close to the beach. There is also a little beach buggie included with the house that helps cart all of your stuff down. It was big enough for a yeti cooler, a speaker, boogie boards, and sand toys. I had a question about what day trash pick up was so I sent a message and received an answer under ten minutes. The answer was great by the way, it’s not even your responsibility to take the carts to the road. There’s a service that does it for you. So nice to not have to worry about that! Also, the mattresses were super comfy.

The Bedloe at Emerald Isle

Hosts were quick to respond for questions. So close to the beach! Pool fabulous! They’ve thought of a lot of extra things to make your stay better. Phone chargers on nightstands and headboards. Beds really comfy, pillows as well. Well appointed kitchen. Beach chairs and wagon are an added plus along with the outside shower. Great location. Beach is clean and amazing. We will be back, we’ve found our new favorite place!

Clean property with well-appointed furnishings. Great layout of home. It was the perfect amount of space for 3 adults and one small child. The wagon provided was great to load up our beach supplies. It's very close to the public beach access. The pool was wonderful as well.

Wonderful Spring Break Getaway!

Our group of 5 adults (2 parents, 3 grown kids) stayed here over spring break and had the best time. The house is very comfortable, and it's just a short walk to the beach. Being on the Point is great because the beach is very expansive, and it wasn't crowded this time of year. The pool is amazing. Although March is a little cool for pool weather, we did get in one warmer day and had a good time. Most days we just enjoyed sitting poolside soaking up the springtime rays!The hosts were easy to communicate with, and they immediately addressed a small issue that arose during our stay. We were impressed with their timely response and resolution to the issue.Emerald Isle was a wonderful location for vacation, and we would definitely stay at this property again.

A solid stay and location

Very close to two entrances to two parts of the beach, perfect amenities. The beach wagon to carry stuff was a great perk. Everything worked. During the time we went, when it wasn’t breezy there were a bit of mosquitoes outside. The neighbor has like wetlands or something beside the pool. Some broken things in the house but it didn’t affect the stay. Communication with the owners were great and we were not left wondering what to do. neighbors were nice but had a barking beagle and the wetlands. This wasn’t a whole house but barely noticed the other tenants. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Great Location

The location was wonderful. Loved the acess to the beach, we saw lots of wildlife amongst the dunes. Although it rained the whole weekend we still enjoyed the awesome inground pool.

Absolutely Great Beach House!

Family vacay

The house was in a great location, very close to the beach access at a large and beautiful beach. The pool was nice, beach wagon allowed for increased ease with taking things to/from the beach. The house was well stocked with trash bags, laundry and dishwashing detergent to get us through our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for what we needed

The property is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the beach. The pool was a very nice addition to have. The only issue we had, which was out of anyones control, was a bird that kept flying into the window that could be heard all over the house, waking people up much earlier than they wanted to be! There are a lot of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, that may be an issue. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

As always weather never cooperates when you want it to. Stuck in the house for 2 days but was still well worth it. Great place close to the beach. Was able to kick back and relax when we weren't able to get on the water.

Family fishing trip

Great place to stay. Kitchen was well design and stocked. View from the dining room had gorgeous views of the sound. Bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. For anyone fishing using a vehicle on the beach, you are just a few hundred yards away from the entrance. Just a note for anyone traveling with older adults, there are a lot of stairs. For young legs, this is not an issue.

Beautiful!

Our stay went well. The place was clean and well maintained. The only thing we would have liked was more available outlets near the bed. The new pool that was put in was beautiful as well. The water was a little too warm in the pool, but overall the pool was amazing. So close to the beach in a very quiet area. The beach is huge and not over crowd over crowded which was awesome.

We purchased our first beach house on Emerald Isle in 2021, hoping for more time in the sand and sunshine with our crew. As a military family, we've moved a lot and have lived in plenty of coastal towns, but something always drew us back to the emerald waters of the Crystal Coast, so we decided to put down some roots on Emerald Isle! We enjoyed hosting so much that first year, we decided to take the plunge and add a second property to our portfolio so we can share more of our little piece of the Crystal Coast with others.

Our properties are named after some of the hundreds of shipwrecks in the shallow waters off the coast of the North Carolina barrier islands. Due to its proximity to the U.S. Coast Guard station at Emerald Isle, Sister Ships is named after two Coast Guard cutters lost in the Great Hurricane of 1944. The USCGC Bedloe and USCGC Jackson were called to escort a tug towing SS George Ade after it was torpedoed by a German U-boat. Near Nags Head, NC, the crews encountered high winds and waves up to 125 ft, capsizing both ships. Most of both crews were able to abandon ship, but a total of 47 men from the vessels would perish in the high seas as they awaited rescue for 58 hours. Today, the largely intact wrecks have become popular recreational dive sites, teaming with marine life. The Bedloe lies approximately 20 nautical miles East/Northeast of the Jackson, which is why we named the Eastern unit Bedloe and the Western Jackson.

Instead of charging a security deposit, Crystal Shoals Vacation Rentals includes a damage waiver fee in the cleaning fee that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions. Please see house rules or the rental property agreement when you book for more information about how the damage waiver works. Because the damage waiver fee is non-refundable; if a guest changes properties for any reason they will be charged a new damage waiver fee for the new property.
