Settle into a relaxing vacation the moment you pull into the driveway of our crystal blue home, Family Tides. There is plenty of covered parking for friends and family. As you walk into Family Tides, the newly renovated kitchen with modern quartz countertop will catch your eye. Unwind in the open floor plan with dining seating for 8. Walk out onto the deck from the open kitchen and listen to the waves from one of our rocking chairs. Relax in the hot tub while burgers cook on the grill beneath the modern globe lights. After 4 minute walk to Family Tides from one of two beach access points, rinse off the salt and sand in the new outdoor shower. Tired of the beach? Explore the 11 mile Emerald Isle bike path right from your back yard. Settle in for the night in one of three bedrooms. Watch a movie from either the living room or bedroom while the kids sleep in the bunks. Bring your furry friend as this home is pet friendly. Family Tides awates!

Family Beach Trip

We had an amazing time at Brian's property! The house had everything we needed for our stay, including beach chairs and plenty of linens. The property manager was attentive and responded right away when there was small issue with the dishwasher. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor shower at the end of a day on the beach , which was a quick walk and even quicker golf cart ride from the house. If you and your family are looking for a laid-back beach vacation, this is a great spot!

Just what we needed!

The property was perfect for my family’s spring break getaway. The location made it easy to enjoy all of the on-beach and off-beach activities that EI has to offer. Beyond that, the host and property manager were accessible, responsive, and great to deal with. We also loved that the property was pet-friendly so our dog could join us. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect beach vacation!!

The location is wonderful - close to the beach, plus shopping and restaurants. Definitely check out Fish Hut Grill for some amazing food and killer margaritas!! Home is well stocked, clean, and nice accommodations. Great stay!

This was a wonderful place to gather with our adult kids and a partner -- comfortable, quiet, private, and well located a short walk from the beach and a short drive to groceries, ice cream, restaurants, etc.We appreciated the reliable wifi and smart TVs. Nice linens and bath towels, great to be able to do laundry on-site! A/C and water pressure are excellent. The kitchen is well set up. Loved sitting out on the balcony among the birds!We did have to pick up more basics (TP, dish soap, hand soap, paper towel, cooking oil, spices, beach towels) than we had expected, and do some bike maintenance, but this was a minor inconvenience, and now the next group will have them.We'd definitely stay here again!

Wonderful

The property was beautiful and comfortable for our group of 3 adults and 3 teens. We loved the open floor plan and the easy walk to the beach. The beautiful deck and jacuzzi were enjoyed by all. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Emerald Isle.

A Perfect Stay!

Perfectly sized and laid out for relaxation, nestled in the trees for privacy but right where you need to be for everything. The beach a short walk and the town a short ride or drive. We loved the vantage point from the deckabove the driveway and all of the neighborhood wildlife on walks with the pup. The house has everything you need, including the hot tub to relax at the end of the day.

Should have stayed longer

Very nicely situated location. The bicycles were wonderful, perfect suited my family of 4 with the youngest being 10. House had everything you would need and the deck was especially relaxing in the morning. Location was close to restaurant and shopping but far enough for a nice bike ride with kids! Will be looking to come back.

Emerald Isle Life

Wide deck, like living up in the trees, trees provide plenty of privacy for siting in the fabulous rockers enjoying your morning coffee or sitting in the evening in shade. Exactly as listed and pictured. 1 block walk to beach access. Close to many great restaurants and shopping. Sharks Den is my favorite. Host was very communicative and detailed. Answered quickly when messaged. The living area floorplan and windows provide an airy open feel. Confortable furniture. We had a great honeymoon there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to coning to Brian's place again. Thank you.

Description said it was recently rennovated, but just enough to get by.

This is an honest and frank review. Having stayed at many homes in EI over the last 20 years we felt let down by this home.Pros: Great location and easy walk to beach, plenty of space for three adults and our two small dogs, Nice sized deck and good deck furniture, bathrooms adequate, good washer & dryer, beds comfortable, HVAC works well, good parking for one large and one small vehicle under house. Kitchen appliances work well. Cons: Interior of home did not feel welcoming, just very plain. Indoor furniture consists of one large sofa that needed a good cleaning ....we had to cover it with a sheet in order to use it as it was the only comfortable seating. Living room rug was also dirty and spotted. The two chairs were just plastic outdoor furniture with thin cushions ... very uncomfortable. One of the patio door glasses appears to have a problem as you can't see through it. No lighting in kitchen except one dim ceiling light... so not suitable for preparing food except during the day...and no light over sink. Just the bare basics for kitchen food prep needs such as sharp knives, bowls, containers, a drink pitcher. etc.

Great trip!

We really had a wonderful vacation. I was with my three adult daughters, ages 21 through 29, and two of their partners. Brian was so easy communicate with and very easy-going prior to arrival. He continued to be very fast with responses as was the property manager. We loved the hot tub and the bikes. Two of the bikes were smaller, for children,so we brought two additional adult bikes and had a blast. While it didn’t say this in the description, there were four beach chairs, which was great. The kitchen was well equipped, and we really had everything we needed. We did bring my two dogs. I loved the way the deck was set up! I was able to feed and water them on the and allow them to dry off after going in the ocean which was really nice. In addition to the outdoor shower, there was a hose which made rinsing our feet and the doggie’s feet very easy. The AC worked really well and the water pressure was great. We found that we could all easily take a quick shower without running out of hot water. The dishwasher and the clothing washer and dryer were fantastic. We loved the little bridge in the backyard that brought us out to the bike path. It was super convenient to not have to walk the bikes up and down the driveway, which was a little steep. We ended up driving four cars because we were coming from different places. We found that we easily fit the cars underneath the house. The lighting was great outside, which was also very nice. We highly recommend this rental!

We are always looking for new areas to explore when visiting our Marine and this location did not disappoint. The property itself was easy to find, clean and comfortable and close to everything! The host was wonderful as well.
