We loved this location for our group. It wasn't far from Williamsburg or Petersburg. It was nice not to be cramped in a condo or townhouse, and have some nature around. You aren't going to make a quick trip to the store, so don't forget what you need when you are in town.

My kids and grandkids especially loved this property! the river view and especially the bird watching from the wrap around deck was amazing - my son counted over 31 species of birds, including 2 he'd never seen before! the house was very clean and had lots of extras like board and card games and an awesome propane grill. We had a minor TV issue the first night and the host provided a brand new TV the next morning! Responsiveness was very much appreciated. We as grandparents loved the ground floor bedroom we immediately appropriated so we could get in and out easily with our pups. Having a 2nd fridge was really useful as we had to stock up to feed 14 people for several days. We had a wonderful multi-generational family week there. Many thanks to Amanda and her family for allowing us to gather in her family's long-time home in Spring Grove!

Fun spot by the river

We stayed here and visited Colonial Williamsburg. It was a reasonable distance away from what we wanted and had a big room to put all the kids in. It's in a quiet neighborhood away from it all.
