The James River is tidal water and is clean. The tide comes in and goes out very slowly, so it is great for children to play in with no drop-off. Don’t forget to take a walk down the beach and look for fossilized sharks teeth! Yes, I said sharks teeth!! Feel free to ask about bringing your jet ski and/or boat to have the ultimate time away!
Only 20 minutes from the free Jamestown Scotland Ferry. The free car ferry belongs to the VA Department of Transportation and runs 24 hours a day. Spend the day in Williamsburg exploring Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water Country, the Premium outlets and so much more!
