Cute, but lacking necessities
The home is an easy drive to the beach and decently updated.
My group likes to take weekend trips to the beach and cook dinner at the house we stay in. Last year at another rental, we discovered we didn’t have the bowls and pans needed for cooking, so I reached out to the host of this house about cookware and the grill on site. The host was super friendly and helpful with my questions (although we still should have brought some of our own pans)
When we arrived, however, we discovered several amenities were not in the home that were included on the listing and we needed.
There was no dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent, there was only one hand towel for the bathroom, no kitchen towel, no bathmat, and only 2 bath towels and 2 beach towels. The 4 of us staying there just had to make do. There were also only 3 dinner plates. We only had 1 roll of paper towels, which was difficult to ration because we had to hand wash many of the dishes and utensils before using them because they were smudged and looked dirty. Because of having to hand wash everything we opted to eat out one night so we didn’t have to deal with the kitchen except for one evening.
The only other complaint we had was that there was no plug-in in the bathroom, and there was only a mirror in the bathroom. Fixing hair was a little difficult.
If all of those essentials had been in the house, our stay would have been much more enjoyable. It all worked out fine, but it was not the most comfortable stay.
