↓PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING ↓:

This is a 2-unit house. You will be staying in the fully separate lower unit. We, the hosts (2 adults and a kitty), reside in the upstairs apartment, so you may see us outside in passing (or watering the garden), but we generally do our own thing and there is no need to interact if you so wish (But if you want to, we love to meet our guests!) Your indoor space is not shared with residents of the home and you will be the only guest who will use this accommodation. Your privacy is our priority!

There is one marked off-street parking space and plenty of street parking.

There is a large yard (90% enclosed) for guest use with several shaded sitting areas, outdoor dining area, propane BBQ, propane fire pit, and seasonal fruit and veggies that guests are welcome to pick! Please supervise children and remember to pick up after dogs.

Inside, there are 2 main bedrooms with king beds plus an office with a full bed. 1.5 bathrooms include towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo/conditioner.

Kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee/tea, spices, and cooking oil.

Guest full size washer and drier and detergent is located outside the kitchen door.

For those traveling with children and infants, guests are provided with a pack and play, changing table, high chair, various infant linens, and children's utensils and dishes.

Laurel House was the perfect spot for us and our 2 young children. It was stocked with everything you would need and Steven and Gabby were amazing hosts. We'll cross our fingers that their place is available the next time we come back to Portland.

Great interior space here, plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Outside is very nice, too, with comfortable seating beneath the pergola, even had a modern fire pit. Property is super quiet and private. Bedding was heavenly. Hosts were very friendly. Our Husky enjoyed her stay, too. There's an off leash dog park about three blocks away. Kitchen was fully stocked, all the amenities you could want. Recommend

We loved our stay at the Laurel House and will definitely stay there again! The owners were friendly and helpful, but also gave us privacy. The house is very quiet and felt safe. Parking was easy and the yard was great for our dogs. The house itself was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The location was perfect for quick access to the freeway, PDX, and many of the neighborhoods that we wanted to visit. There are great restaurants close by too!

Our stay at Laurel House was wonderful! The beds were comfortable, the layout of the house facilitated ease with sleeping arrangements, conversations, and eating. The surrounding yard and garden are fantastic and so pretty! We enjoyed hanging out outside in the seating area.

We had a great stay - home was well appointed. The kitchen pots, pans, and utensils were in great condition, which isn't always the case. The outdoor space is great. We so appreciated the pack and play as well as the high chair. The home offers great value. From a location standpoint - it is convenient/ close to highways but it isn't the most charming Portland location. If you are looking for a highly walkable location with sidewalks, this isn't it. That being said, if you have dogs, there's a dog park a few blocks down.

Oasis in NE Portland

Beautiful property in NE Portland less than ten minutes from PDX - but you don’t really hear much noise. The outdoor space is beautiful and relaxing. House was clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were quick to respond if we needed anything. Will gladly stay again when we’re back in Portland.

The property was clean, comfortable, and had lots of thoughtful items like a hair dryer and a charger for travelers who forgot to pack them. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning in the gorgeous yard to drink our coffee with the company of some cute cats. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

A perfect place! This ground floor unit was just what we needed for two parents, a toddler, and two grandparents. We loved having access to laundry and a kitchen for our long weekend in Portland. The king size beds were really cozy. The hosts really thought of everything and every detail was communicated well. There is even a little store should you forget any essentials. The garden was such an added bonus. It’s absolutely beautiful and full of love & care. We had a lovely stay and would stay again!

Wonderful, clean property with comfortable beds! Relaxing outdoor space with a large variety of vegetation, lovely evening walks to the park just west. Great communication with the host! Close to airport, but didn’t notice the air traffic. Perfect with a rental car, short drive to many Portland eats and things to do. Would stay again, thanks!

We are both teachers and when we're not hosting, we're usually off exploring ourselves! As an avid traveler, we know how important it is to find a space that’s comfortable, clean, and a little bit special—and that’s exactly what we aim to offer every guest.

We reside in Portland's Cully neighborhood, just 5 minutes from PDX airport and 10 minutes from downtown Portland. We enjoy strong community relationships with our neighbors and love to frequent our local amenities and attractions.

Neighborhood Highlights:

Sacajawea Dog Park: Just at the end of our street, Sacajawea Park is an expansive shady park with a walking loop and an enclosed off-leash dog area.

Juniors Coffee: The best walkable coffee and food cart pod (Excellent coffee, several food options, mostly all open on weekends). Juniors turns into a brew pub in the evening and often is a gathering space for those wanting to catch the latest game on tv. Kid and dog friendly covered and outdoor seating.

The Grotto: A serene 62-acre sanctuary featuring botanical gardens and chapels, providing a peaceful retreat for visitors. Lower level gardens are free to access.

Proximity to PDX: Just a 5-minute drive from Portland International Airport, making arrivals and departures convenient.

We have poured lots of love into this space to create a private and tranquil getaway while still within the city.

The property is surrounded by tall lush laurel hedges and includes several shaded sitting areas amongst budding flowers, an outdoor dining area, propane fire pit and BBQ, as well as a seasonal garden and fruit trees that guests are welcome to harvest a bounty from!

Note: Hosts live onsite in the separate upstairs unit— there are no shared spaces beyond the yard and any interaction is optional!

We welcome kids and pets!! The yard is ~90% enclosed with openings only at the driveway - so we recommend supervising all kids and pets when outside. Also please don't forget clean up after pets!

Laurel House offers a spacious interior with 2 kings beds, 1 full bed/office, and 1.5 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee/tea, spices, and cooking oil. The bathrooms include towels, hairdryer, and shampoo/conditioner. A 58" TV has streaming access.

You will also have your own private washer/dryer access outside the kitchen door.
