Unplug and get away from it all in this beautiful new cabin at the center of a private, wooded 100-acre farm. Enjoy relaxing on the covered porch and taking in the view, grilling out or fishing the stocked pond. Although there is no Wi-Fi, cell service is accessible. If you choose to bring your boat, electric is on-site and a roundabout allows for easy boat parking.

We were looking for a beautiful area with a very private setting and we found it!! Far exceeded our expectations. Very good hosts and beautiful land to hike around. The front porch of the cabin overlooks the Ohio River at a distance. Our only wish is we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this cabin!!

Anniversary getaway

Great little cabin on a very quiet farm. We loved the peacefulness and the ability to disconnect from technology for the weekend. Definitely recommend AWD/4WD to make it easier getting up the driveway. Thank you for sharing your peaceful cabin with us. We will definitely be back.

Excellent cabin, just the right size and a pleasing river overlook with plentiful privacy. Everything was thought of in terms of offered amenities. There were coffee grounds and creamer available. Provided also were shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap for bathing. I don’t recall seeing evidence of a TV on the Vrbo post, but there is a large flatscreen using Roku in the living room area, with even an attached DVD player and a sleeve of numerous DVDs available. Also, there is wifi and service for my T-mobile network iPhone worked fine in the cabin. It was simply a stellar sojourn location, and they even offered me a free dozen freshly laid eggs on my second day staying, which I certainly appreciated and eagerly accepted. There also is a booklet detailing the history of the local area and its town, Foster, which I enjoyed reading as some novel events transpired there.

Terrible

Was charged extra for firewood and claimed we broke a piece on the bathroom sink that was already in that state when we arrived. Also claimed we trashed the cabin even though I bought a mop and cleaned as we left

This group blatantly disregarded the cabin rules and checkout instructions as well as leaving the cabin with dirty dishes, food, grease and something sticky all over the kitchen counters. Dirt was everywhere. Our checkout instructions do not include mopping the floor as a feeble attempt to cover the mess left all over the cabin and yard. Not to mention being dishonest about the damage in the bathroom. The entire custom-built bourbon barrel sink was moved from its place most likely in an attempt to fix the damage these guests caused. Totally unapologetic and stated they left it in pretty good condition considering it was all men who stayed there...We have had no issues from any other guests on this server or the others we are listed on. I hope you will be more respectful when staying on others' properties or that they take a damage deposit. We had to close the cabin for the weekend so we lost that rental income and generously only reached out for the money for firewood (it was stated in 3 different places that we can provide as much firewood as you need for $10/bundle). Sorry that you feel you were blindsided by the fact that it is unacceptable to leave someone's property in this state. Most people can understand common courtesy. Take care and I hope you have learned from this experience!

Cabin with a view

This Cabin was nestled in a beautiful area with lots to explore, or with a beautiful, comfortable view to chill around when it rained and rest in the evening before enjoying a fire. We loved being visited by the farm roosters early in the mornings. This was a beautiful cabin and was the perfect getaway for our little family. Comfortable sleeping and extremely clean. Photos are accurate. Owners left sweet welcome package. We so appreciate them sharing their beautiful, “made with love” cabin …… Some things other travelers may want to be aware of when booking: the driveway is steep as listing details, drive a vehicle you are comfortable climbing all terrain. It’s a very wooded, cool area- enjoy the cool air at night and in the morning, pack a hoodie even in summer. Bring bug spray and enjoy climbing around the beautiful property. Kitchenette size fridge- don’t pack too many fresh groceries to make sure they fit. Bathroom is connected to bunk bed room and separated by curtain instead of door- so if you have a packed cabin, don’t expect total privacy.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The kids enjoyed being outside, playing in the snow, and my husband and I enjoyed the sunrise views. We had a nice walk through the property as a family as well.

The cabin was very nice and the atmosphere was fantastic. I just had issues with the driveway up to the property. I wasn't sure my car was going to make it.
