Guest access
Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire upper level of the home, providing privacy and comfort throughout your stay. Access is via a full flight of stairs, which is well-lit at night for easy arrival and departure.

Parking includes two back-to-back spaces located on the left side of the driveway, with one space covered under the carport.

Entry is seamless and contactless via a keyless smart lock. Your personalized access code will be provided prior to arrival for a smooth, self-check-in experience.

Other things to note
There are brief periods of traffic during morning and late afternoon commute times, the sound is not noticeable inside the home. Most of the day and evening are very quiet — the coqui frogs are often the most noticeable sound, especially after rains and when its dark.

Please note that the hosts reside on property. Guests enjoy a private upper-level space and lower, and we kindly ask that everyone observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM to ensure a peaceful stay.

This location was most excellent for visiting the whole west coast of Big Island. It was nice being able to go north or south of Kona and still being a short drive away from "home". The neighborhood is quiet and the parking is spacious. All beach gear was provided. Everything you need is there but in case you need to pick up something in a hurry then WalMart is literally around the corner. Getting in the house was easy and felt safe the whole time. Gorgeous view of the coast in morning and night from the porch. Am definitely recommending this place to others headed to Big Island and we'll be here again as well when we make it back.

Very well furnished and clean, with owners that care

Very nice upper level two bedroom / one bath with everything anyone could need. Lots of little touches make it clear the owners care. Nice parking, well lit, AC and nice washer / dryer. Residential neighborhood near busy road but a nonissue. Close to everything in Kona especially central downtown. Great owners. Highly recommend.

Close to Ironman race.

The property was clean and well equipped. The host was welcoming and pleasant. There was a bit of noise from the highway, but that makes getting on the highway easy access. Would stay there again.

Simply perfect for your stay in Kona

This rental had absolutely everything we needed for our 5 nights in Kona. Nestled about 5 minutes from town, it gave us beautifully quiet nights and easy access to all the beaches and sights. The place was so tidy and cozy with ample space for a family of 4 (two teens) but they had everything set up for a stay with a little one including baby gates on the steps! The stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook in a few nights and not have to buy things like sugar - it’s the small things that make such a difference. The beds were great and came with soft and firm pillow options. Eric and Christie even shared fresh Ono fish that they had caught that day with us ~ the complete Hawai’i welcoming experience. We made easy day trips up and down the coast and truly can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll be dreaming of my coffee on the lanai for a long time !

Close to Kona!

Overall, nice home to stay for two people. The kitchen was nicely furnished. Parking was easy. Very close to downtown Kona, supermarket….my only issue was the too firm mattress on the queen bed.

Beautiful & Clean

This rental is fantastic. It is upstairs from a residence but you have your own covered parking and outside stairs and entrance. It was still very private. The home is beautiful and well stocked. Contactless arrival was smooth and easy. Hosts were very friendly and easy to contact if needed. I would recommend to everyone and would definitely stay again.

Amazing! home fully equipped near main attractions

What a great place to stay! We were looking for a quiet place that could be a “base of operations” for our vacation, and this place proved to be ideal. It was close enough to everything while being away from crowded resorts. It is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood and doesn’t have loud partygoers that we were concerned we might find at a resort or a condo, but was only minutes from stores and the main tourist strip. The place was IMMACULATE! And it appeared to have been recently remodeled. Everything was essentially new and of high quality, from the furniture to the bedding as well as the fully-equipped kitchen. It was open, airy, and full of light. The owners live downstairs and are available for any problems, but the fact is, the place was so well appointed (from laundry detergent, shampoos, and conditioners to sunscreen and bug spray and a binder full of useful information about the home, places to eat and things to see) that we had no need to bother them, although we did bump into them occasionally when leaving/arriving and enjoyed chatting with them. They were careful to give us our privacy and we didn’t feel as if we were being monitored. In short, the place honestly exceeded our expectations and we will certainly stay there again when visiting the island.

Really enjoyed our stay. Property is well maintained and appointed, beds super comfy and the evening chorus from the surrounding wildlife and views down to the ocean a far are wonderful. Super convenient to drive to restaurants etc.

I'd stay here again

--Great location in relation to town and various activities. --Very nicely appointed quarters!! --Comfy beds. = ) --Terrific beach gear collection!!! --Hosts are well organized and communicated promptly, clearly, graciously, and non-invasively. --One con: Proximity to a busy road made for ongoing road noise when windows were open. When closed (there is AC available) it was not a problem.

Great Host - Great Time!

The property's location was great. Eric and Christy were awesome host. They went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. Their book was well done with great recommendations for restaurants and activities. They even gave us their Ninja Blender so we could make our smoothies. They were friendly and we felt like we knew them for years in conversation. They provided all we needed for the beach from chairs, umbrella, towels, boogie boards, cooler and a wagon! the location is About 15 minutes from airport. location to beaches were good. anywhere from 7 minutes to 40 minutes depending on where you go. We went to 4 beaches. The Black sand beach near volcanoe was an hour in half drive. the drive to volcano and waterfalls were about 2 hours. I highly recommend to stay here. I know we will stay there again when we come back.

House nestled in the hills

House is very clean with everything we needed for comfort living. Hosts extremely nice. This house is conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown but a short drive to everything we needed like the restaurants, major department stores, beaches, and airport.

Kona Vacation

The home was just right. Very clean and organized. We’ll-stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, snorkel gear and beach toy. Washer and dryer on the front porch was very convenient and helpful. A/C worked like a charm and cooled the whole home well. Great location for driving a few minutes to Ali’i Drive or driving up to points north of Kona. Hosts were available and helpful when needed. Would definitely stay here again!

FANTASTIC STAY!

The place was setup so well! It was clean and had everything anyone could ask for. The property managers are very kind and respond promptly! It’s located well, short drive to get there from the airport and anything you want to get to is a short drive away! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our family — Ralph, Maryann, Eric, and Christy — has called the Big Island home for over 13 years, and we’re truly honored to share our love of the islands with you.

Our story began with Eric studying at UH Hilo and Christy working as a telescope operator in Waimea. They fell in love, were married here on the island, and the rest is history. Along the way, we’ve built lasting friendships, deep roots in the community, and a true appreciation for the beauty and spirit of Hawaii.

We love this home and feel grateful to share it with guests who want to experience the island in a meaningful way. Any one of us may be assisting you during your stay, but rest assured — you’re in good hands.

We’re always happy to share recommendations, whether you’d like to explore like a visitor or discover Kona like a local. One of our favorite island adventures? Deep-sea fishing off the Kona coast — some of the best in the world — where you can catch marlin, ahi, and other incredible Hawaiian fish.
