Cozy Stowe Getaway steps away from Rec Path, Food, and Fun!

Welcome to our two-bedroom, two-bathroom cozy condo conveniently located just off Mountain Road. We have made it a priority to make sure our unit is always professionally cleaned and has all the comforts of home. This is a nonsmoking, pet free condo. Parking is free.

The condo building has 12 units and is situated on 4 acres of open lawn. Our unit is located on the first floor and features a walkout deck from the kitchen. Air conditioning in the kitchen/living room and ceiling fans throughout. There's a 55" Phillips Smart TV in the spacious living room and tv’s in each bedroom.

Step outside to mountain views. Just 200 feet from the front door is the 5.3-mile paved Stowe Recreation Path for walking or biking. You can bike or walk into Stowe Village where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy everything the village has to offer. Enjoy a coffee at Black Cap Coffee & Beer or have a drink at Stowe Public House while sitting outside with friends.

We are only 4 miles from The Stowe Mountain Resort for skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, or hiking on Mt. Mansfield, Spruce Peak, and the numerous hiking trails in the area. For your convenience, the closest Mountain Road shuttle stop is 0.2 miles from the front door. Play 18 holes of golf at the adjacent Stowe Country Club. You can drive or walk to the nearby 'Swimming Hole' Health Club if you prefer a heated pool or use their fully equipped exercise room. In the summer you are welcome to use our outdoor pool. Take advantage of Umiak Outdoor Outfitters for summer/winter activities, as well as Von Trapp Family Lodge events.

We are within walking distance to Stowe Bee Bakery, Dedalus Wine Shop, Market & Bakery, Sushi Yoshi, American Flatbread, and Stowe Cider. A short bike ride or drive will take you to Idletyme Brewing Company, Doc Pond’s, The Bench, Charlie B’s, Piecasso, The Alchemist, Von Trapp Family Lodge, Von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall and Alfie’s Wild Ride, just to name a few. There are many more restaurant options around and the Stowe Cinema and Stowe Bowl are a short distance away. You are never without something to do in Stowe.

Also, a short drive away are the many shops Stowe has to offer: The Boutique, Stowe Kitchen, Bath & Home, The Butchery (fresh meats, seafood & prepared foods), Commodities Natural Foods - healthy and organic choices, Stowe Beverage (liquor store), Pinnacle Ski and Sports, Bear Pond Book Store, Shaw’s General Store, Stowe Farmers Market (Sundays late spring to fall) and many more.

Great location and great accommodations. One downside is being able to hear the people staying on the second floor walking around, otherwise a great place and we loved the many deer that meandered through the property!

Perfect location and layout for our 2 couples! We range from 50 to 76 years of age. First floor was perfect and unit was exactly as described!We have already booked for next year!Kristina was awesome and super responsive! We arrived 30 mins early and she let us enter at that time. Highly recommended!

Great place near Stowe

This rental was perfect for us. It was a great size for our party, near Stowe, and was quiet. The grounds and surrounding area are beautiful. I loved that we could walk to Stowe Cider and the rec path. Everything was clean and comfortable. Communication with the host was amazing. Thank you for a great stay!

Stowe summer getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Stowe. The condo was very clean and comfortable and the location was great. We really enjoyed the easy access to the Stowe Recreation Path.

Wknd of birthdays

Every summer we go away for a long wknd to celebrate 3 of our birthdays...all of which fall within a 3 week period. This year we selected Stowe...jazz festival, farmer's mkt, bike path, great restaurants and breweries. We wanted a condo so our downtime would feel more like home. This unit was perfect...full kitchen, 2bd/2ba, comfortable LR w/ games/TV, and a small deck off the kitchen. We will be going back!

Very Good

The apartment was terrific. Very clean and very well equipped. Great location - walk to town and restaurants right at the end of the driveway. Only negative is the incredibly thin ceiling. Any movement upstairs was very loud. No fault of the owner but if you are a light sleeper it could be annoying. Overall it's a great place

Quaint place in Stowe with good location

Nice property close to town. As someone else said, you can hear the footsteps of those above you. However, it wasn’t any louder than anything I’ve experienced in an apartment. My only complaint was the lack of soap and shampoo in the showers.

Great location to Stowe

This is a great location- close to the mountain for a weekend of skiing and close to restaurants. You can tell that the owners take care of the property. Overall, a wonderful stay. The upstairs apartment can be noisy with late night parties and early wake ups. Keep that in mind when booking.

Perfect stay

Great cozy spot in perfect middle location. Close to Stowe Mt and Main Street and everywhere inbetween. The space was open and comfortable! You can hear some steps from the unit above on occasion but that doesn’t bother us at all. Overall perfect spot for a ski getaway

Great ski vacation

Excellent location. Several restaurants and shopping close by. About 5 mile drive to Stowe resort. Condo was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Great basecamp

Brought my family here on a ski trip to Stowe. Quick and easy drive to the resort or into town. For anyone into biking, they rent fat bikes at Ranch Camp and have trails off of their property. The unit was well equipped and comfortable. My kids enjoyed all of the different board games. Highly recommend.

January ski getaway

Stayed here as an option to hotel living for a week in January while we skiied at Stowe. Location was great both for easy access to the ski resort and restaurants/ town in the evenings. We didn't use the shuttle, we drove ourselves everywhere so can't comment on that. Unit itself was cute and clean. Kitchen hD everything we needed to make the meals we wanted to, I'm a stickler so I washed all the pots / pans we needed before I used them, but generally the cookware, dishes and utensils seemed clean - dishwasher works well enough. Beds were soft but comfortable. Laundry on site was nice to have. Only thing that was mildly frustrating, but is out of control of owner is the fact it's an older building so not well insulated. Tenants directly above us while we were there had very loud footsteps which woke us up most mornings and kept us up some nights. Also took a couple tries to get the thermostat to hold at a comfortable temperature, it kept setting itself back to 60 at night. Overall though a great value and great location! We'd stay there again.

We stayed for a 3 day skip trip at Stowe. The place is only 10 mins away which is fantastic. It's clean and has everything we needed.

Nice location and property, but some amenities need improvement or attention.

We enjoyed our stay in Stowe, and in the building on the whole. However our stay in the unit was marred by several things that should be fixed. The bed in front bedroom sags badly, preventing the couple who used it from sleeping well. No soap or shampoo in the showers or bathrooms, other than the pumping hand soap dispensers on the bathroom sinks. Light switch in front bedroom doesn't stay on reliably and may have a loose wire. Directions on how to use the front and back door locks incomplete though we eventually figured out how to work them by repeated trial and error. There were clothes in the dryer that hadn't been removed after the previous guests had left. Dishes hadn't been removed from dishwasher after previous guests left. We couldn't find another garbage bag large enough to fit properly in the main kitchen garbage bin, so didn't remove the one that had our garbage. We hope the cleaner(s?) sorted that out after we left. The night light in the back bedroom didn't work. There were very few tissues (Kleenex) in either bathroom, and no spare supply in evidence. The all-metal kitchen teapot looks attractive but can be dangerous to handle when hot; the kitchen mitts provided were very clumsy for trying to pour from that teapot. Most of these things (except for the sagging bed mattress) were relatively minor annoyances or inconveniences, but added up make it impossible for us to give full marks on our ratings, compared with our other VRBO stays.
