LAID BACK LOCATION WITH A CASUAL VIBE.
"Coco's Cottage" is a classic OBX "beach box" with what you & your dogs need to RELAX and enjoy your time at the beach. Located near MP 6.5, between the roads. Built in 1972, much of the interior remains unchanged, including some of the decor & artifacts! 2 full baths & 2 queen beds, along with 2 twin beds. Comfortable furniture, kitschy decor, pet-friendly front porch and under-house area (picnic table, grill, ice cream maker, shower), LOTS of kitchen utensils, and tons of relaxing vibes! Games, books, Wi-Fi, TV's and the same beach & salt air as available at places costing 18 times as much!!
1 block from the Beach Road & 5th St beach access at the LIFEGUARD BEACH. 3 blocks from the Avalon Fishing Pier. Target (with Starbucks) is at the end of the street, and on the way to the beach. Belk, Food Lion, WaWa and other shopping is across the by-pass from Target - all within walking distance.
We hope you can visit and "live like a local" while enjoying all that the area has to offer. SIT! STAY !!

This house was perfect for our weekend stay! It is close to the beach which allowed us to go back easily and let out our dog during the day! It is also conveniently located near Target and Wawa so we didn’t have to go far for necessities. The house itself was clean and well air-conditioned! It was plenty of room for us. We really enjoyed the porch on the front of the house and sat there every night! We will definitely keep this place in mind when booking OBX trips in the future.

Clean, great communication with host, efficient A/C’s in each bedroom, plenty of hot water for 4 adults, close to beach and shopping/restaurants, etc, beds could use a nice mattress topper but other than that everything was great!

I am so glad we found this property last year and we booked it again this year. So great dealing with the owners and I love that it is pet friendly so you don’t have to be constantly worrying. Being only two blocks from the beach it is just about in the perfect spot. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at the property for 2 weeks with our 2 dogs. The property was perfect for us and walking distance to the beach. I would recommend this property to other family’s with dogs. Don also let us check in early which was great as we were tracking with our dogs from Massachusetts!

Great beach box in a good location. It's very dated and needs renovations, but a GREAT value for the price tag AND allows pets with a cheap pet fee. Bring your own toilet paper!

Her story is simple: Grandpa left Coco a house, Coco needs money to pay the taxes & make future upgrades. Coco enjoys the spirit of history, freedom, funkiness and fun that the cottage embodies and exudes. 3 generations of her family have lived or vacationed in this home, and she is proud to keep the spirit of family and fun alive for her family and yours.
