Sierra Sky in Dollar Point Tahoe City

Enjoy your Tahoe vacation in this loved family home in Tahoe City. This home features all of Tahoe's must haves, fireplace in living room, lovely deck, close to town, Skylandia Beach, bike trails, and prime mountain resorts.

The main floor's living and kitchen area, where you will gather while indoors, has an open floor plan with all the amenities in the kitchen for that social cook. In addition to the gorgeous fireplace to warm up beside, you have a beautiful south facing deck to sit with a cup of coffee or good book.

Nine people (two families or a group of friends) will have lots of space to sleep here. On the main floor, you'll have one of the master bedrooms with private bathroom, and the bunk room with an extra twin bed, kitchen living room and dining area. The lower floor features another master suite with private bathroom, and another bedroom with a king bed, hallway bathroom and laundry area.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars total. All cars must park on the driveway or in garage. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some .

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 9 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Great roomy spot close to everything but away from the crowds. Traveled with several kids between two families and we all kept on saying how perfect it was for each family to have their own space, one upstairs the other downstairs.

We had a decent stay, but there were some issues to be honest. First off, the positives: Nice location at Dollar Point, 4 bedrooms that could accommodate a lot of guests, some of the areas of the house appeared to have been updated, the house was clean, a small view of the lake from the back deck.The negatives: Both sliding glass doors would not lock, they used wooden dowls to make sure they could not be opened when not in use. The kitchen is very small. We checked in and found a bat, yes a bat, flying in our room. The private beach and private pool are NOT allowed to be used by renters, which would have been perfect for us as we had two toddlers with us. Other parts of the house are outdated, and could really use an update. And two of the bedroom had mesh type blinds that do not prevent people from being able to see inside at night when the light is on. Serious privacy issue there. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Nice short snow trip

Had a great time with our families! Great place for smaller ones to enjoy some snow without a lot of pressure or crowds. Easy booking and check in, close proximity to town and amenities were useful.

Spacious home, nice location

Our family spent 5 days here for the wedding, end of July beginning of August. House is very nice, spacious and accommodated our group comfortably. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and more. Beds were comfortable. Portable fans and heaters in rooms. Daily temperatures mid 70s to low 80s, with cooler nights in high 50s-60s Fahrenheit.

Excellent property in great neighborhood

The property was as described online and looked like the photos (not always the case!). We were 5 adults and 1 kiddo, celebrating our parents’ birthdays, and had enough space to both unwind alone and convene together as a group. The kitchen is well equipped with tools and dishes. We really enjoyed the deck and quiet neighborhood. Great neighborhood to just walk around and stretch the legs. House is central to many Tahoe destinations.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and perfect for a large group. Lacked a few things like : no shampoo/ conditioner, only provided us w/ 1 tiny bar of soap per bathroom , no Kleenex , TP -lowest quality and quantity, 1 paper towel for the whole group and for our 4 day stay. Also this place has a big deck but no hot tub .

Clean and well stocked

Two families with teens got away for a long weekend. We love staying in this area, close to Tahoe City and so many great recreation spots. The house was very clean and we appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was for all of our cooking needs. The fireplace offered a nice ambiance.

Ideal winter getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked this home for a weekend ski trip for my family and 3 other friends. The layout of the house was ideal. The kitchen, dining, and living space are warm and welcoming. House is just a few minutes away from Tahoe City and 15 minutes away (with no traffic) from Alpine / Palisades. Will definitely keept his house in mind for future trips!

Last Minute Getaway

We decided to do a last minute Tahoe getaway and were excited that we found a house with such a great location, with such short notice. The house was perfect for our family with easy access to Tahoe City restaurants and shopping. The home was clean and well maintained. We would definitely rent this property again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice and the pictures reflected the actual home. The heating system was tricky and the downstairs was hard to get warm. It was a disappointment that the ice machine and the hot water heater were both off. It took me a little bit to figure this out. The management company was helpful when we had to call when we first arrived since we locked ourselves out when we went into the garage to get a snow shovel. The driveway was not clear so we were not able to use the gargage to park the cars. Overall still a nice home in a good location and rent again.
