The Home on Abbey Road

The Home on Abbey Road is exactly that: our home. This year, we will be travelling abroad from December 2022 to April 2023 and are offering our home for rent while we are away.

The Home on Abbey Road is a fully-renovated 1968 atomic ranch that sits on a gentle rise, with an exquisite view of the Salish Sea and just a 2-minute walk to pristine Cordova Bay Beach. (BI-MONTHLY PROFESSIONAL HOUSEKEEPER is INCLUDED at no additional cost)

The open-concept house offers a spacious and comfortable living room, dining room, and fully-stocked kitchen, master suite, and powder bath on the entry level; and two bedrooms, a large family room, office area with printer, laundry and full bath on the lower level. The en suite in the master has a generous, two-person free-standing tub and separate shower, plus heated floors. There is a fireplace and large screen TV in both the great room and family room. And the entire home is equipped with a Sonos sound-system, along with many other amenities.

Outside, there are five separate seating areas, a gas BBQ just off the kitchen entry, and an artesian spring that provides a Zen-like ambiance throughout the year. Abbey Road is a feel-good house with abundant light and an ocean view that makes us feel like we are on vacation year-round.

Cordova Bay faces San Juan Island and provides a pristine, highly-walkable shoreline. The renowned Lochside Bike Trail (the primary north-south bike route on the Saanich Peninsula) is less than a block away and Abbey Road is a 5-minute drive to Elk Lake, as well as Mt Douglas Park -- both with myriad all-season hiking trails. It's a short walk from the house to the iconic The Beach House Restaurant, and 1 km up the road to Mattick's Farm, which comprises a Red Barn Market, liquor store, restaurant, ice-cream shop, and a lovely collection of artisan shops. Broadmead Village, a stylish outdoor mall is nearby with a Thrifty Foods, Pharmasave, and several restaurants. And the highly-rated Cordova Bay Golf Course is only minutes away.
