Great location with a great view

Check in and checkout was a breeze. Eric was highly responsive and very generous letting us borrow the paddle boards for a little trip out to the island with the seals in front of the property. This is a great central location, close to airport and many other attractions that the island has to offer. Last but not least, the sunrise view over the ocean is absolutely breathtaking!

Cordova Beach

It was wonderful. You really cannot beat the view. We spent a lot of time in the sun room starting at the ocean. We loved that the house felt like home but away from home. Enough room for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Easy access to beach. Erik was wonderful about communicating with me. The grocery store (Red Barn) had everything we needed for the time we were there. The extra air mattress and hide abed was greatly appreciated. We could use the smart TV to watch Netflix. We loved that they had all the kitchen cabinets full of what you need to use to cook with and eat on. Did some laundry with the detergent provided. Easy loading dishwasher. Everything was perfect! 10/10

On the Beach

The property is unique. It is a cozy beachfront retreat. Perfect location for the Ironman event at Elk/Beaver Lake. Hosts were very clear with instructions/great communication and accurate description of the property. We loved our stay!! Well equipped and loved sitting in the sunroom sipping our coffee in the morning gazing out at the ocean and listening to the waves. Easy street parking too.

Wonderful View Every Morning !

A great location - perfect to get around to different parts of Victoria and Sydney. Very easy in/out and check in and comfortable beds. Oh, did I mention the totally awesome view out the back? Wow. Beachfront, water and view of San Juan Islands and others. Really a wonderful spot to wake up. Glad we picked it!

Fantastic location and ocean views!

We stayed at this incredible location while visiting our son at UVIC. The ocean views are amazing and the house is spacious and well set up. The hosts are very responsive and helpful and we appreciated that. We hope to be back Erik and Ru!

Great location, beach, stunning views!

We really loved our stay. Couldn't get enough of the ocean views 😍 Walked the beach for hours, saw crabs and otters. Great location, minutes from fantastic dining. Would stay here again.

Dream vacation

We fell in love with Cordova Bay. Beautiful, walks, memories...Convenient location. We loved the new Hara sushi restaurant and Italian market just walking distance up the street. Erik is the best host, and because of his recommendations we were able to see orca whales. We had the best time, hope to be back for more memories in the future, although these will last a lifetime.

We had an amazing time and the place was exactly like the pictures! There was a public ramp to the beach right next door and some awesome biking directly from the house all the way downtown! Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back.

Family wedding vacation

Our stay at Beachfront Paradise was great it was close to all of the venues for our daughters wedding. The view was amazing. We spent our evenings sitting in the sunroom listening to the sounds of the ocean,very relaxing and peaceful!

Great place by the Ocean

We had a lovely stay at the Ocean Gypsy. Eric was great to communicate with and even let us check in early. The ocean view is amazing! It is an older building with some older Furnishings but it was clean and comfortable. I wish the fireplace and patio screen would have worked but other than that it was perfect for my son and I. Thank so much Eric for a wonderful stay at the Ocean Gypsy.

Victoria Beach Front Stay

life on the beach

We stayed there for 8 weeks, and the views of the ocean were just as spectacular as promised. We say otter, sea lions, bald eagles, a great blue heron and many gulls. The house in winter is cold when the wind blows directly in, but otherwise it was perfect for us. Thank you for hosting us in this lovely spot.

Excellent communication and customer service

We attempted to travel to this property over the Christmas break and due to airline mess ups terrible weather we never actually made our trip. Eric and Ru went above and beyond with communication and customer service, and insured that a terrible situation wasn't made to be even more of a headache due to the fact that we were not able to make it to our destination. So while I have not actually stayed here, I wanted to make a review in order to let any future guests know that Eric and Ru were truly a delight to communicate with, and I can't wait until we actually make it to the West Coast to stay here.

It is the BEST location on Cordova Bay Beach, which is also known as Victoria's Malibu Beach. You just can't go wrong if you love the sea, sun, sand, and surf. It is not a brand new property, so don't expect one. Instead, expert to come to a property which is easy to have fun at and enjoy Cordova Bay beach!

The owner is highly musical. If you are, bring along your musical instruments and on the weekend, he just might have time to play and sing with you. :) This is a friendly and welcoming place, and so is the beach and those on it. Come and enjoy the unique ambiance and setting.
