LGI was a fantastic experience, especially for small children. Bonnie's home is in an excellent location, just a short walk to the beach (195 steps for me - from the front of the house to the end of the trail at the beach). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and sundry items. Beds were all comfortable and A/C worked great. We loved the outdoor shower for our return trips from the beach. I had to use my phone as a hotspot for the kids' tablets during their small amount of internet use, so keep that in mind if it's important to you.
There's an occupied bald eagle nest in a tree across from the house, an occupied tortoise burrow on the property, from the beach we saw dolphins (or perhaps porpoises) swim by, and got to see a shark patrolling the water as well---which leads to the best part of the beach: There's a sandbar that runs parallel to the beach about 40 feet from the shore. This creates an area of water between the shore and sandbar that's excellent for children to play in because the water is calmer, warmer, and not too deep (maybe 3-3.5 feet at it's deepest), and the large sea creatures can't cross the sandbar because at its deepest the water was ankle deep when standing on the sandbar. The tide may affect this of course, but it held true for the entirety of our 5 days there.
EVERYONE we met on the island was very friendly, but an extra special thanks to Alice and Rod for being such welcoming, helpful, and nice neighbors during our stay. We'll definitely miss them.
In short, 10/10, will definitely repeat!
