Nice property but several things need addressed. I’m not sure the owner/mngr. of this unit visit it often but maybe they should. Gate code did not work. We just hit call every time we tried the code bc it wouldn’t work, a couple of times we couldn’t get in the gate at all & had to keep pressing call to get the gate open. Check-in was easy. The vrbo listing shows it has 2 twin beds in one room, it actually had 1 twin bed & twin trundle bunk bed so 4 beds total in 1 room. The ceiling fan in there was completely useless, it never went faster than very slow no matter how many times we pulled the string. When we first got into the unit, there was a chirping low battery fire alarm, we walked all around the unit trying to figure out where it was. We finally went to the front desk & they said they’d send someone up, we were leaving to go out to dinner. When we came back a few hours later, it was still chirping. We finally found it, a carbon monoxide detector someone stuck in the top of the closet. So we were without a CO alarm entire time. The headboard on the king bed was broken. Definitely some updates needed here (rusted AC vents, old shower fixtures, etc.) The listing shows beach service for 2023 season, back & forth answers with vrbo for clarification on this, didn't finally get an answer until going to the person putting out beach chairs that it was included (Alan was awesome!) No hose to clean off other than pool. Overall, great short stay but some things could be improved.
