Wonderful property - scenic and fun!

We rented this place with another family for a week. The kids all loved it so much they didn’t want to leave. They had fun exploring the property and playing in the game room. The gated property was great to let them roam! The house was clean and had a really nice open living room kitchen area that was perfect for our large group to hang out and enjoy. Having laundry available was convenient and key as it was muddy outside from the rains. Location was amazing to do trips to Napa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg wineries during day. We even did a SF trip easily one day. Would definitely recommend this for families or large groups!

Great house and location in Sonoma!

The Barron ranch in Kenwood is a lovely property. The views from the porch are just beautiful and the bird feeders are visited continuously by hummingbirds and there are often wild turkeys in the distance. The home has a large, main room with dining, kitchen and living room and 3 large bedrooms. There is also a separate structure with a full sized pool table, ping pong and darts. It is a very comfortable house to hang out in which we did more of than planned because of the atmospheric rivers that unexpectedly hit CA during our stay. The kitchen has just about anything you would need. There are a bunch of board games available and Roku TVs in the main room and master bedroom where you can sign into streaming services. Kenwood itself has a number of wineries and good restaurants with others in close proximity. It is easy to get to downtown Sonoma and all of the interesting nearby towns including Calistoga, Healdsburg, and Sebastopol. The Santa Rosa airport is less than a half hour away and that worked well for the family that visited us. There is wonderful hiking near the property including a great trail with a trailhead just a bit down the street. Kit was incredibly helpful and communicative, especially when the weather situation became clear. He kept us appraised and put together a nice list of potential rainy day suggestions plus explained the protections in place in case of power loss. We never lost power while we were there. The packet the hosts have put together has a great list of restaurants, wineries, hiking spots and other useful information. Would highly recommend this for families getting together. Note: While we did not have young children with us, it was clear that there are lots of things at the house for younger kids including a toddler bed and books. Highly recommend!
