This was exactly what we needed after long days hiking with room to cook if needed, but also close access to the town. It was easy to access and close to both sides of the park (if Route 123 isn't closed).

Loved the place! Pretty decent location, quiet, peaceful. We saw so many elk nearby, it made me so happy!! Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Only downside was that the 123 road was closed so getting to sunrise area was a 3 hour trip but hopefully that changes soon!!

Perfect house for 2-3 people, close to Packwood

My wife, daughter and I stayed for a quick weekend and it was the perfect spot for the three of us with the one bed and the futon in the living area. In a quiet neighborhood but only five minutes from town.

Safety issues

We were not able to access the property as they gave us the wrong code for the key. We called and they sent someone out to the property within 30 minutes. We called later to let them know that the sliding glass door lock was broken. They had been locking the door with a piece of plastic. Someone came and tried to fix the lock but was unable. They left without fixing the lock. There was blood on a comforter that was left by a previous guest. There was an outlet that was coming from the wall with exposed wires.

This guest broke house rules and is leaving a bad review. Maybe VRBO will remove it... But I doubt it. Outlet has been fixed. It was behind some furniture and not a big deal. There was some sort of old stain on a comforter. The clean duvet cover was on top of this of course. But we removed the "stained" comforter from the property. New lock has been ordered. The door was still secured and is not a safety issue. TMC Vacation Rentals :)
