Prime Location! The Elk Cabin is steps away from the Cowlitz River Access and within walking distance to Downtown Packwood (fine breweries, coffee, and restaurants). From living room you have a view of both Mt. Rainier and the river. The White Pass Ski Area and some of the best hiking spots in the central cascades are all just minutes away!

Enjoy the Hot Tub, BBQ Grill on deck, WiFi, smart TV with Netflix, fun wood-burning stove, backyard fire pit, and the convenience of stacked washer and dryer. The highly efficient heat pump/AC provides both heating and cooling for year-round comfort.
You will get a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier and the Cowlitz River on a clear day from the front yard and the Hot Tub.
The bathroom is always stocked with extra towels, soap, and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials: salt, cooking oil, plates, utensils, and cooking pots. The nearby grocery store provides everything else you need for a memorable vacation cookout. Notice this cabin does not have a dishwasher, and guests are expected to wash their dishes before departure.

Getting around:
0.2 miles (2 min walk) to Cowlitz River bank - nearest access at the Cowlitz River Public Access Park at the end of street near Skate Creek Rd S bridge.
0.7 miles (15 min walk) to the lovely Packwood Downtown, with lots of dining options and the grocery store: Blanton's Market.
10 miles to Mt. Rainier National Park Southeast entrance.
12 miles to Silver Falls.
20 miles to White Pass Ski Area.
26 miles to Mt. Rainier National Park Nisqually entrance (open year-round).

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire house, hot tub, and fire pit in the backyard. On the day of your check-in, the owner will text or message your access code for the smart lock.

Other things to note
The house has an external security camera facing the driveway. Guests will have complete privacy in the house, backyard, and around the hot tub area.
Please restrict use of the grill or fire pit during the burn ban (check with WA Department of Ecology web) to prevent wildfire.

Stay was amazing. The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. Overall fealing of the cabin felt very "home like" sitting on the couch by the fireplace was the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring Mt Rainier. The location in packwood was perfect. Would definitely stay here again

We had such a wonderful stay! The cabin is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos! We absolutely loved the fire pit! Will was a great host, gave clear instructions and information about our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone!

We loved this VRBO! It was the perfect location for visiting Mt Rainier, about 15 minutes from the south entrance. The fire outside and indoors was perfect for the chilly weather. Plus the hot tub with a view!!!! Nice being able to walk to the river too and the town resturants and bars were great. Would recommend and excited to stay again :)

Had a great stay at Will’s cabin. Clean, cozy, loved the hot tub with the view of Mt Rainier and the room AC units. Town was great and close to the park. Only issue was the internet not working the days we were there.Would stay again!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time. The cabin is clean and comfortable for two people. The views were beautiful from the hot tub! It was a great location to get into the town of Packwood and driving to hiking trails around Mt Rainier.

Very nice property and location. The grocery store is just down the road and there are plenty of close places to hike like Packwood Lake without traveling to Rainier National Park. The host was great a very responsive to our needs. The hot tub offered a nice view of Mt Rainier.

This small cabin is clean, comfortable, and close to Packwood for easy access to the nearby river, the town, and local restaurants. don't miss Mountain Goat Coffee and Cruiser's, a pretty good pizza and burger restaurant.There are two comfy bedrooms, one has twin beds, and a modern bathroom, all comfortably air-conditioned. A hot tub on the front porch looks inviting but we didn't use it as it was too hot.And GREAT proximity to Rainier entrances and the area hiking is spectacular esp. in July when wildflowers are exploding. It was really nice to see an elk in the neighborhood on the last day. I highly recommend this place, and Will replied to every inquiry quickly with helpful info. Thanks, Will.

What a wonderful place!

Elk every morning/ bald eagles in the air / kids playing in the river all day. Hot tub at night (and mornings). At first glance, I thought it might be a bit quaint - I couldn’t have been more wrong. This place has just what you need and nothing you don’t. Family games, movies and fire pit were all top notch. We would and are planning on coming back.

Relaxing Retreat!

Elk Cabin was cozy and relaxing! Had all the amenities we needed. Location was great and the hot tub was so nice after a long day outside playing. We enjoyed the fire place, quiet neighborhood and the beautiful river.

Getaway with Dad

My dad room my little brother and I to Elk Cabin for an overnight. We could t go camping be a use of the weather but this was the perfect alternative. We got to hike by the river, hang out in the hot tub, make snores by the fire and watch some Star Wars. It was perfect! And we saw a ton of elk! I hope dad takes us back soon.

Comfortable and cozy stay

This is a very cute, clean, and comfortable cabin. It is perfect for a ski weekend at White Pass, just about 20 minutes up the road. Host is very easy to communicate with.
