この島のリゾート地は、パーム島の北端にある2マイルのプライベートビーチの中にあります。

Beautiful stay

We had a family girls trip and it was amazing. The kids had a great time collecting shells and sharks teeth and jumping in the pool after heading to the beach. Hoping to make this an annual trip. It was perfection!

The unit is in need of some repairs. Railings coming up have tops missing and are wobbly.Master bath the tub tends to not drain when showering and fills up. The exhaust fan in MB sounds like and air plane taking off and does vent but slowly. Main hall bath needs painted? Or just maybe cleaned good? There is something running down the walls. In downstairs queen room the lamp by the window has a serious short in it, we unplugged it. Upstairs vent is coated with dirt. Dont mean to complain, and these are relatively small repairs. All in all its a very nice unit with a beautiful view and we enjoyed our time there and the staff of Palm Island were above and beyond! Thank you for a great week!

Palm island resort

The beach was beautiful! Sadly, pool was not open and we did not know it was closed! We lost AC the 3rd night. Accommodations were not great in the house but truest service was so accommodating!

Paradise

We celebrated Mother’s Day here and it was simply perfect. Beautiful views, comfy beds, well stocked.. the pool is steps ways and we enjoyed the best sunsets. We rented a golf cart while on the island.. Definitely plan to return!

A little confused once off the ferry where to go, a sign would help, unless I missed it!? Also, better information about water taxi hours as we had to cancel/make reservations on the island as the taxi wouldn't accommodate our planned dinner at Leverock's (plus heck of a walk had we used car ferry). I would definitely come back as I felt a million miles away and it took 1 1/2 hours from St. Pete, FL to make the trip.

Reviewer Comments: We have returned every year for the last 12 with a large group of families and have always been satisfied with our stay--this year's changes in the ferry situation started everyone's vacation off frustrated and angry. The information given differed from what actually happens at the ferry with rude operators. The pools were dirty this time around. We were impressed with the service at the restaurant and Coconuts.

We had a good stay on the island. The view of the beach was great and of course being on the beach, watching sunsets and enjoying friends was wonderful. Our unit faced the pool with the beach beyond that. Unfortunately there is still a lot of damage in the resort from Hurricane Ian 3 years ago. The pool in front of our villa was not finished and while I don't think our villa was impacted by water damage in the living areas, there was a new air conditioner and maybe some electrical damage. Not all of the plugs worked in all the sockets. Over all the villa was clean, we slept well and had what we needed in the kitchen. However, the unit was very dated. Palm Island was built in the 1980's and it looked it. The upholstery needed cleaning, chairs to the table were weak and sinking, the kitchen cabinets didn't always close, part of the patio furniture was broken, the bathrooms needed to be re-grouted and there was floor molding that was missing. It just looked and felt old, dated and tired. Palm Island Resort still suffers from damage from Ian. All the downstairs units in our area were missing the stairs up to their porch. There were piles of wood all over our area. Rum Bay Restaurant was closed and the small market didn't have much in it. The management team was extremely helpful in giving us directions and making sure we were taken care of from meeting us with keys to moving luggage in and out of the villa. No complaints about the staff.

We do want to clarify that the damages you encountered during your stay were not a result of Hurricane Ian in 2022, but rather from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which severely impacted our area in October 2024. While much progress has been made, some restoration work is still ongoing. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused and understand how it affected your experience. Your comments regarding the condition of the unit and resort amenities are taken seriously and have been shared with the appropriate teams as we continue to make improvements each day. We appreciate your patience and honest feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future as restoration continues.

Wonderful PI Resort!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been to Palm Island many times, but this was our first time staying at the resort. It was absolutely wonderful! The staff at the resort-- everyone from the registration, concierge and bellmen-- exceeded our expectations. We stayed in 2624. The unit was accurately described, clean and functional. The location was great! The unit could use upgrading, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen. I must also note that both the washing machine and dryer should be replaced. The dryer had a bad habit of eating parts of our clothes, which ruined them-- nothing major, but still it should be replaced, so that future guests don't have the same problem. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the resort again, but we would probably choose a different unit, unless changes are made to the one we stayed in.

attention to the details

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is in need of some updates. The ceiling fan on the porch is rusted and squeaks really bad when on. The cabinets in the downstairs bathrooms are broken and need new hinges. The upstairs blinds need to be updated, they are broken and hard to open-which is probably why they are broken. I would not recommend this property to anyone at this price. The beds and furniture are uncomfortable. You go to the beach to vacation to relax and it is hard to do when you cannot sleep good. I would recommend some better pillows and bedding. The upstairs beds in the loft are very small, and extremely uncomfortable...even with the egg crate... my 9 & 10 yr old complained all week. Your review on the website should reflect that these beds are for small kids. The furniture outside is also uncomfortable. Some high-top chairs would give a better view of the ocean. You need to put things like dish towels and pot holders in the kitchen. A larger trash can in the kitchen also, especially for families who cook several meals a day, that small one fills up fast. You also have an aunt problem in the kitchen, making sure your bait traps stay changed out would be helpful. All this to say, the management was awesome and very friendly to accommodate what they could. I will definitely come back to this location but I will not recommend this condo to anyone.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've been coming to the resort with family 25+ years. This year the airline changed our flight to very early in the morning. We arrived earlier than expected with our luggage. 3 teens, and $700 worth of perishable food. The bellhops (who were awesome) loaded our bags and food onto their cart for transport to the unit. We arrived at 2 PM and check in is at 3 PM. The room was listed as ready on their information sheet they use with housekeeping. The nice young lady at reception was ready to help and told us the room was in fact clean. But Melissa, hollering from her back office, would not allow us in the unit before 3 PM, not even to put our food in the refrigerator. She made no attempt to help us whatsoever. Our food just sat on the bellhop cart in 100degree Florida heat. I understand the 3 PM check in rule, but this is a resort, not a Holiday Inn. In the hospitality industry, every attempt should be made to help out the guest with any and all issues. Melissa did not. I pleaded with her to no avail. Fortunately, the bellhop staff defied her and took all of our things to the unit anyway. Overall, we won't be returning. Jamie and Melissa (a different Melissa) at Coconuts are always great. The bellhops saved the day. But Melissa at reception needs to seek out a different profession, as she is not cut out for hospitality. This never happened in the old days. I think more care is given to owners than guests. As one owner explained, she would not be able to afford to own in the resort if it wasn't for the guests renting her unit when she was not there. We felt like we were intruders, not guests. We were very sad to be treated this way by Melissa at reception, especially after being guests for so many years. On a side note, our unit was dated and in need of repair. There were little bugs or mites in the kitchen and the largest cockroach I'd ever seen in the bathroom closest to the kitchen. I didn't even bother to discuss this with the front desk for obvious reasons.

Very disappointing stay at Palm Island Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived to find out that we were moved to a unit off the beach, then were placed in a unit on the beach that but far below expectations for what was described as a deluxe unit. Unit was dirty, chairs were stained, bathroom door did not close, bathroom fan not working, masterbath tub caulking was dirty, kitchen stove drawer was falling off, cabinets did not close properly, TV only worked sometimes after many reboots. Unit has not been updated for some time. Ghost ants were everywhere.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked our little vacation last minute and so glad we found Palm Island. We relaxed at the beach, collected seashells, rode bikes around the resort and the island. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back!!
