Welcome to "Butter Peak Retreat" this is a spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental in the beautiful town of Packwood, WA! This home is perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family and features all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The home has a spacious layout with an open concept living and dining area, perfect for gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and cookware, so you can prepare your favorite meals during your stay.

The home has 3 bedrooms, each with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space for your belongings. Two of the bedrooms have queen bunkbeds, and the third bedroom has a queen size bed. The home also has 2 full bathrooms.

The outdoor space is definitely a highlight of this property. The space features a hot tub that's perfect for soaking after a long day of exploring the area.  There is also a propane grill, "solo stove" firepit and outdoor seating. Everything you need for summer barbecues and relaxing.

Packwood is a charming town located in the heart of the Cascades, with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The home is conveniently located just a short drive from Mount Rainier National Park, where you can hike, bike, and explore the beautiful landscape. Also, a short drive to White Pass Ski area, making it a great spot for winter sports enthusiasts.

Other Items To Note:

-During the summer a burn ban may go into effect in all of Lewis County. During this time campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and any other form of burning may be prohibited.

-Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. It is the guests responsibility to be properly equipped for harsh winter driving conditions. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.

-This rental is equipped with 3 outdoor cameras for security purposes. Cameras are facing the front door, back of house, and side of the house above the deck.

Butter Peak Retreat was in a great location. It was extremely quiet and very clean. The hot tub was a plus and we enjoyed our time spent in this home.

Beautiful almost new home/cabin near the river and downtown Packwood. Plenty of linens, kitchen, laundry, and bathroom supplies. Loved jumping in the hot tub after a long day hiking. Very clean. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy time together or on their own. Master bedroom bed was a bit too soft for my husband and very squeaky but I slept soundly.It was unfortunate that Route 123 into the Sunrise area of Mt Rainier National Park was closed but we enjoyed 3 amazing days visiting the Paradise area of the park (about 1 hr 20 min away due to construction on the park road).Great beers and cornhole at the Packwood Brewing Company and delicious milkshakes at the Airstream Ice Cream. We loved the local places for food/beverage: Thai food from the Zest SriThai food truck on 2 nights, Cruisers Pizza, and Mountain Goat coffee.

Property was excellent! Clean and comfortable. Spacious and clean. The hosts anticipated everything we might need and provided it to ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Our kids enjoyed having their own spaces to retreat to as well as entertainment space to hang out and watch movies. We would absolutely recommend other and would stay again. This was the perfect base location for our hiking trips to the Paradise side of Mount Rainier National Park.

Beautiful house w/hot tub close to Mt. Ranier

Communication was great from booking through checkout. The owners gave us lots of recommendations for hiking and restaurants. Check-in was very easy as there is a keypad with a code. Specific directions to use it were given.The location is great- close to both the Sunrise and Paradise entrances to Mt. Ranier National Park. The house was exactly as pictured and was very clean. There are bunk beds in the upstairs bedrooms that would accommodate 6, and a king bed in the master on the first floor. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the hot tub was fantastic after a long day of hiking. We would highly recommend it!

Wonderful spot close to nature

We stayed here for an extended weekend. The house was perfect, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking most meals in. I was pleasantly surprised at how sound proof the rooms were! We put our one year old down for a nap and we didn’t even have to attempt to be quiet in the rest of the house. Different pillow options were available in the closet which came in handy for accommodating differing sleeping preferences. The only thing that would have been nice for our family is a baby gate for the stairs, granted I didn’t ask so that’s my fault.

Perfect getaway

What an amazing home to come back to after a day of skiing with the family. We stayed two nights, and will be back. The kiddos loved the loft hangout and the huge couch allowed us all to be sprawled out during movie time. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of towels and drying area(s) for ski gear.

Going away gathering for our grandson

Upon arrival we noticed how clean and well supplied the property was. Our two grandkids skied each day and there was room for all their clothes in the utility room. Everything was very nice and we would recommend it to anyone.

Christmas vacation

Perfect Christmas Vacation StayWe stayed here for our Christmas vacation, and everything was absolutely perfect. The house is new, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully stocked with plenty of towels and blankets. They even had a Christmas tree so Santa was able to find us. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was a fantastic treat—hot and ready to enjoy! The location was ideal: just 30 minutes from the mountain and only 5 minutes from town, situated on a quiet road. The setup was perfect for families, offering lots of sleeping space and a cozy atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property.

Delightful property!

We stayed in Packwood for my son's wedding at Mt. Rainier. What a quaint, inviting town! The brewery was a huge hit for pre and post wedding gatherings. Butter Peak was perfect for us! Plenty of beds for all. Love the double queen bunk idea, good use of bedrooms. Everything was immaculate and clean. Kitchen was very well stocked, nothing we couldn't find. Love the coffee bar, again, big hit! The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking. Location as well is great! Love the solitude, but also close to the road to Rainier, and just a hop into Packwood. Check in and out was seemless, no issues arose to have to speak with the owners, which to me is a win, though they did check in via text. I would highly recommend Butter Peak!!
