It truly means a lot to hear that you found the home one of the cleanest you’ve ever stayed in and that you enjoyed the waterfront access (and that slightly less adventurous drive!). Hello Cristina, Thank you for leaving a review. The property does not list having a pool. So, i don't feel this should be a negative on us or the review of the home. On the beach, it is a public beach and you were here during the busiest part of the holiday season. All beaches were likely busy at that time. So, it’s natural for it to be a little busy and again shouldn’t be reflected on us. It is extremely rare to be able to stay mere yards from a beach on St John, but we cannot control how many of the units guests use that beach. On the smell, we always do our best to address any issues as soon as they arise. Things do happen on island, we are all on septic systems, and we have lots of wild life that could dye in a bush, however all of these things can be fixed, and we pride ourselves on addressing any and all issues quickly, when we know about them. We have amazing reviews due to our great communication and fast response times to addressing issues. We would have been happy to address the situation for you. However, you did not mention any problems at all while you were here. We even have a group text to all of our guests with their host, maintenance, and our company office attached upon arrival and let you know that we are here for any thing you might need. We have a septic service treat our systems regularly because septic unlike sewer systems cannot handle wipes and feminine hygiene products being flushed, this is noted in the villa book, however it still happens, and when it does we take care of it right away. I think a more fair measure of a host is not merely being lucky and having nothing go wrong, instead it should be being available and responding appropriately to the issues when they occur. On roads not being paved, unfortunately it is not a private driveway and potholes exist on many of the roads on st john. However, they are grated and maintained regularly. Our listing is honest and transparent about the townhome, anmenities and its location. We would have appreciated better communication while you were here to allow us to address any situations that we have control of to make it better for you all and us to achieve a better review. Thank you for your compliments on the inside of the townhome and the “owner” it was the residence manager by the way. I hope you saw that the owners have spared little expense keeping this property updated and well appointed, for the enjoyment of the guests. All of our staff was also available to you to address any of your concerns at any time, but we were not given the opportunity. We understand that St. John may not be for everyone, the rawness of it appeals to specific people, the under development of it can either be charming or inconvenient. We try our best to bridge the gap for all our guests and set proper expectations. We were all available to you, but sadly you did not give us the chance to bridge that gap for you. I hope you will reconsider your very low rating of this fantastic property, because the beach had too many people for your tastes, perhaps their was a septic issue that you told no one about, and a community chose gravel over pavement for their entrance. Many patrons have enjoyed the natural beautiful all around this property, and its rare proximity to the ocean, when perhaps it just wasn’t for you.
