Catch sunset out on the oceanfront deck for ultimate relaxation with the most picturesque appeal. This charming two bedroom home in La Jolla has all you need for an unforgettable San Diego vacation.

There are exterior stairs to entry. There is no direct access from the garage into the home.
The living room fireplace is inoperable.
There is a separate, detached ADU in the back (east) of the property. This is a rental with completely private space.

While you have your own garage keypad and parking, the garage space is shared with the ADU guests. Guests have their own garage keypad as well.
This home is monitored by exterior surveillance cameras and interior noise monitoring devices.
Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also provided for your use.
Windansea is known for its picturesque ocean views, bluffs, and surf breaks. While surfing is permitted, swimming and beach side enjoyment is solely dependent on tide levels and current. Summer is typically best for low tide beach access directly in front of our home. Beach access involves moderate bluff climbing.
You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families.

Neighborhood Notes:
This home is located in Windansea, a prestigious La Jolla neighborhood. Windansea Beach is directly south of La Jolla village in San Diego. Explore the charming village of nearby La Jolla- with a great selection of restaurants, enchanting coves, and a spectacular 1-mile clifftop walk. Windansea is known for its unobstructed ocean views, characterized by gentle bluffs and remarkable surf. Windansea is a short drive to Sea World, and a half hour to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego.​​​​​​​

Attention:
This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. Owners live nearby! No tolerance policy exists for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, smoking, or pets. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting.

Don't forget to report any damages, issues, or upgrade suggestions—we truly value your feedback! Check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless a late check-out was pre-approved. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Thank you for staying with us!

Summer Retreat

We spent 4 days at Windansea surfing, site seeing and relaxing on the beach. The views of the ocean from the deck & living room are spectacular. Can't wait to stay here again.

Great home! Awesome views!

I spent a week here with my wife and 3 year old daughter. We had a great time. The views are amazing and the home is very nice. It was very clean and well stocked. The location is great. Right on the beach and walkable to many restaurants and things to do.

Great stay

The house and location are amazing. The only downside is the size of garage and not having a garage door opener. Having to stop on the street and open the garage door was inconvenient.

Family Vacation

Newly renovated property offset from wind & sea beach. Priceless views of the surf and walkable / bikeable to La Jolla Cove, Birdrock or even Pacific Beach. Check-in process was flawless, 100% remote and management company was in constant contact through text. I can’t recommend this property enough for families

What a wonderful escape!

I rented this wonderful house for a full month. It was in great condition, clean, and everything worked. Drift was very organized and made everything easy for me. Jordé in particular was very helpful and made it easy for me to book this same house for next year. Looking forward to it!

Great getaway!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely beach house. The location was perfect, right across from the beach with stunning ocean views!! Walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. The house itself was very nice, comfortable and cozy. Their management team was attentive and friendly, they responded very quickly to any questions. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous oceanfront view.

Our girls trip was to take in various sites in San Diego. Little did we know that the best place to be was LaJolla. Our VRBO was so delightful that we didn’t rush out each day. We lingered at our ocean view VRBO mornings and evenings. The neighborhood was great for evening walks. The local restaurants had something for everyone. I would stay here again!

Great little house with ocean view. Busy in the day for fun people watching and very quiet at night. Recently renovated with all new appliances. Suggestion would be just a small table and chairs for indoor eating in winter season. Check in information was excellent.

The Best!

Our daughter moved to La Jolla 9 months ago and lives down the street. This was a perfect house for me and my husband to be near her and have the relaxing and beautiful view to stay in. I want to stay forever

The warmth of this home was breathe taking from the minute we walked in. The open air feeling with the beautiful sound of waves crashing on the shore was magnificent. There are no words for the fantastic time that was shared with us here. A vacation where you did not want to leave the house!

Amazing home away from home!

This property is just beautiful. Was just updated. The view from the family room is breathtaking. Great people and surfer watching. So quiet at night, very peaceful. Would definitely recommend! Property managers were incredibly helpful, very quick to respond. We will be back!

Exceeded Expectations

We had a very wonderful experience in this comfortable and cozy beachfront home. From the home, the view of the world-famous Windansea Beach is spectacular, and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. A large deck attached to the residence overlooks the beautiful beach, and the quaint landscaped yard made our stay a paradise. The host is excellent to work with. Highly recommend this five-star property to anyone.

Oceanfront beauty

We enjoyed this rental soooo much! Has everything we needed even some left over beach toys for our 3 year old which was a pleasant surprise. I could sit on the couch and stare at the ocean all day! We picked this place because it was a couple blocks down the street from my sisters place. It did not disappoint. Surely we would love to come back!!

Perfect Beach Getaway (Hidden Gem)

We stayed on this property for five nights and we had an amazing stay at this home. Weather was perfect during our stay too as it was breezy and sunny most of the time. Such at a great location right next to the beautiful Windansea Beach. The views were wonderful and sitting on the oversized deck or even in the living room where it has this huge open window to watch surfers was always fun to start the day! The house was comfortable and easy to gather as a family as well find some quiet time. We will definitely stay again. This house was hosted by Drift Vacations and they did a great job communicating and checking on us the whole time. Thank you for a great time!!

Amazing

We were so happy with the location and the house that we cancelled two days of activities so that we could just hang. There is definitely more beach than the pictures suggest and chairs and an umbrella to use. The deck was great for people watching, surfer watching and just relaxing. I read a whole book. Love, love, love!! We will go back!

Good property location. Great view,,, house had everything and was spotless. The garage is difficult to get in and out and is shared w other tenant behind house. There was at 6-7 people living in their cars (homeless),, lots of drinking and illicit smoking (drugs). Wasn’t expecting that. Property Manager communication was excellent.Overall a good experience.

Great location except for the bums

Great house … clean, super location. Unfortunately, there are anywhere from 3 to 5 bums that permanently park in their vehicles across the street. They may leave for a night or two during the week, but always return. The police have little time to stay on top of the issue, so, unfortunately, you have to deal with their drinking, smoking, a variety of things, and the noise they create. It’s too bad that local ordinances or not enforced. La Jolla prohibits overnight camping in public parking spaces but that law is only as good as its enforcement.

Everything we came for!

Perfect long weekend at the beach! Escaping the snow and seeing palm trees, blue skies, and gorgeous sunsets is good for the soul. This beach house had the most unbelievable views and was in a perfect location. My son and I chilled and watched the surf, while my wife and daughter enjoyed the contemporary art museum and shopping in La Jolla. This beach house has amazing outdoor spaces--the last thing we wanted was to be cooped up in a glass/concrete box, so this house was perfect. Even when we were inside we could open up the dutch door, windows, and french doors to the deck--hear the ocean, take in the salt air. I think there is as much outdoor living square footage as there is interior living space. And the outdoor spaces were completely private, so we could let the dog run around without any worries. Garage parking, great local restaurants in walking distance, only twenty minutes from all the San Diego attractions (we had a fun afternoon at the Midway), I'm pretty sure this place is paradise.
