Sweet 2BR 1.5BA oceanfront cottage with a "sister" cottage, on a great beach near Acadia NP & Bar Harbor.

Cross Carriage House is a cozy 2 BR cottage with water views & a terrific bayfront beach. Near Acadia National Park (3 mi) and Bar Harbor (5 mi). This is a place to relax and enjoy nature and the serenity of our beautiful island. Features a private, large water-view deck and park-like, landscaped grounds with large lawn areas. This ocean side guest cottage sits next door to Cole Cottage, and offers immediate access to the shore at Cole's Cove. Complete with all the amenities, it provides an affordable getaway in the midst of a beautiful setting. Proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor is a plus!

FIRST FLOOR: Open floor plan with Living/Dining and Kitchen area with propane monitor heater. Primary Bedroom with Queen bed and gas fireplace stove with ocean views and door to the deck. Full Bath with combined tub and shower. Laundry. Laundry room. Private office with pocket door.

SECOND FLOOR: Upstairs find an open Bedroom with a Queen bed and one Twin bed with small TV. Half Bath.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Waterside deck with furnishings and screened front porch. Swing set and Basketball hoop. Sorry, no fires allowed on the beach.

Rates include the cost of normal departure cleaning.

All houses are fully equipped, including linens and dishes.
Refundable security deposit, 9% Maine State Sales Tax and a $25 nonrefundable booking fee are not included in the rental rates shown.

Although rates and calendars are updated online routinely, prices and availability are subject to change pending owner confirmation.

This house follows a Standard Cancelation Policy: No refund unless house is re-booked.

Everything was wonderful except a wasp nest on the upstairs balcony. Also, we were upset that we were not allowed to use the kayaks and canoe that were in the listing. The house was beautiful.

Fantastic and adorable!

Cross Carriage House was beautiful and exactly where we needed to stay for our family vacation this summer! It was close to town but just removed enough to be serene and peaceful. We had an amazing time exploring MDI- Echo Lake, Sandy Beach and Jordan Pond were all truly unique not to mention the vistas from Cadillac Mountain and every roadway! Travellin' lobster was right down the road from the house as was Udder Heaven which was perfect for all of our stomaches. Sweat Peas farm right next to Travellin' Lobster was also amazing. We could go on about the amazing food we ate forever! Honestly though, our favorite part was just combing the beach right next to the house every low tide. That was extraordinary. We were able to hear loons while we were sleeping and see them during the day. On the Thursday we were able to see herons, seals and even a porpoise during the sunset! Afterwards we were treated to an amazing Aurora Borealis right from the same beach as the seals played off shore!!! Definitely a memorable cottage for all of us. We look forward to visiting again asap and we definitely recommend this to everyone we know headed Down East! ps- listing was accurate, super helpful manager, clean and all that good stuff!
