Ocean View Cedar Chalet/ 10 min to Acadia

Cedar Chalet is a spacious 3‑bedroom, 3‑bath home set on a private, wooded lot overlooking the beautiful waters of Frenchman’s Bay. Nearly every room captures the view through large windows, and the expansive deck offers a peaceful place to start your morning with coffee as eagles soar overhead or to unwind at sunset with a beverage.

A private boardwalk shared only with our log cabin leads you to the shoreline about 500 feet downhill. From this beach, guests may see seals feeding in the bay or sunning on an exposed rock in the bay. Kayaks can be launched as well (can be rented / delivered from local companies).

Inside, the home features an open‑concept layout with the kitchen, dining area, and living room flowing together—ideal for families and friends who want to spend time in one shared space. A major 2021 renovation added a new kitchen, living area, bathrooms, bedroom, and deck, giving the home a fresh, modern feel while maintaining its coastal charm.

The chalet offers three comfortable bedrooms. The second‑floor master suite enjoys a stunning panoramic view of the water. On the main floor, the bedroom can be arranged as two XL twins or converted into a king, making it a great option for guests with mobility considerations or for children. Other than three steps from the driveway to the porch, all common areas are located on this level.

The lower level also features beautiful water views through large windows in every room. Here you’ll find a second master bedroom with a king size bed and a second living room with a premium queen plus sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space.

We have blackout blinds available in every bedroom for those 5 am summer sunrises in Maine.

Whether you’re gathering with family, reconnecting with friends, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Cedar Chalet offers comfort, privacy, and unforgettable views.

7 day minimum from 5/28-10/26 (Saturday - Saturday) except 6/27-7/5 (8 nights) and 7/5-7/11 (6 nights).

We have an outdoor security camera located near the driveway.

I’m glad you enjoyed the house and the view. It is quite beautiful. I’m sorry you were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. You arrived an hour and a half prior to check in while our cleaner was still in the process of preparing the house. Your party opted to have her leave and not complete the house because you just wanted to check in after a long day of traveling. In the future know if you insist on checking in early, the house truly may not be done. Our cleaner does a fantastic job, as supported by the numerous reviews mentioning how clean the house is and almost perfect 5 star reviews for cleanliness over 100’s of stays.

The Cedar Chalet was wonderful! We saw beautiful sunsets from the deck. The house was perfect and as described. Our family of six adults and one toddler had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The house is close to the entrance for Acadia and we visited every day! Downtown Bar Harbor is a 15 minute drive and we enjoyed the shops, restaurants and a sightseeing cruise. Jamie communicated with me during our stay to ensure everything met our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cedar Chalet!

Amazing stay! Wonderfully large chalet with plenty of room for everyone. Views are spectacular- you really feel like you're in the forest with gorgeous bay views. Sunset is phenomenal! The place was super clean and we had a great time.

This is a fantastic host, and the Cedar Chalet was such a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing this special place with us! There were so many details that made this stay so nice—a kitchen with so many extras, beautiful views, a wonderful space for all of us, and so many other extras. The location is great and close to Bar Harbor and Acadia but also in such a peaceful location with an amazing water view with incredible sunsets and water access just a short walk away. The host also provided personalized recommendations for local spots and eats, and they were all fantastic! We really enjoyed our time there this week and are grateful for the memories we made at the Cedar Chalet!

This chalet was a perfect location for a friends trip to Bar Harbor. 20 minutes north of Bar Harbor we were easily able to access the town, local restaurants and then have our own secluded stay on the water. The view is stunning from the back deck, and the quick 3 minute walk left me speechless at the beauty. I didn't expect to see seals yet everyday they were there near and on the rocks in the water. We watched many shooting stars on the clear nights and even saw an eagle soar above the peak of the house. The incline to the water is steep but if you aren't up to walking you could take the car down the driveway. Definately catch the view at low tide and hide tide because it's a vastly different! The beds were firm and for those of us that like firm mattresses, we were pleased. The soft mattress lovers however were given something small to moan about in this otherwise wonderful house. Before going to the grocery double check the pantry first. For our visit, we had ample laundry supplies, coffee, and spices. Would I do it again? Yes please!

The Ocean View Cedar Chalet was great. The kitchen was well stocked. The deck and the views really make the place awesome. The property was clean and well cared for. Cleanliness was a big deal in feeling comfortable The property is a short drive to many of the trails on Mount Desert Island. It’s an even shorter drive to Bar Harbor .We really had a great time at Acadia and the wonderful Cedar Chalet was part of that. Big Thank you to Jamie

Jamie was very responsive and great with suggestions for winter options. The house is beautiful inside, and the views are amazing! We made several meals there and had everything we could ever need. It was close to all the trails and towns and set in a peaceful and serene location. We loved our time here hope to be able to visit again!

We had a wonderful weeklong stay, and explored all of Acadia! Beautiful home, easy to communicate with the owners. Had everything we needed, and would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay! Everything needed was there. Viewing the beautiful sunsets from that great porch was very relaxing. We appreciated being able to use the grill. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. We have stayed at this lovely chalet several times and will be back again!

This chalet was perfect for our stay on Mt Desert. Spectacular views. Lots of room to spread out. Away from the crowds, but still a quick drive into Bar Harbor. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was very communicative and gave clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable home with an amazing view. - we saw both deer and an eagle. The house had all the amenities needed for our stay at Acadia. We would definitely chose the Chalet again if we ever return to Bar Harbour.

We are a fun, family of four, that loves to hike and be outside. We love Acadia National Park ! There is no better place to unplug and get away from it all. Often my parents and brother/ sister in law accompany us. Some of our favorite things to do are to sit on the porch and have coffee in the morning, enjoy the sunset after a long day of hiking, and have seafood fests including plenty of lobster and mussels at the big outdoor dining table.

This house is the perfect mix of being in a very wooded, private spot while also having big oceans views and water access.

We personally use this house as a spot to reconnect and relax so it has been freshly renovated with families and friends in mind. Games, books, and inside information on all the best things to do in Acadia and Bar Harbor are available.

The area is extremely quiet and a great place to enjoy the people you love.
