Welcome to Los Shaker of Sea Salt, a nearly beachfront bungalow with breathtaking harbor views and an easy, coastal rhythm - PLUS we pay your 15% Guest Fee! Open the front doors to a cool ocean breeze, step onto your private patio, and settle into beach life right away. Whether you’re walking to Silver Strand Beach, watching sailboats drift by, or ending the day around the fire pit, this pet-friendly home is designed for relaxed, memorable stays by the water.

**Booking process - IMPORTANT!
- After booking, you will immediately receive a message asking you to confirm your reservation and digitally sign our occupancy agreement. Please do not forget - by sigining, you trigger your check-in information. If you do not sign the agreement, you will not receive your check-in infomation.
- Once signed, you will be emailed a link to your GUEST PORTAL, where all important information lives, including check-in details, WiFi, and local recommendations.

**Guest Portal
- Your entry code will be released 48 hours before check-in inside the Guest Portal
- Early check-in options appear 5 days before check-in. You may request it through your Guest Portal
- A $25 per dog, per stay fee applies and can be paid through the Guest Portal.

Perfect little place

My husband and our dog really enjoyed our stay in Lost Shaker of Sea Salt. A short walk to the beach past sea loins that our dog loved. Quiet at night, clean and comfortable, we would stay here again!

Cozy beach cottage

Great location, you walk to the beach to swim, surf or hang out. The harbor waters are accessible across the street where you can hop on a kayak (there are two available for use with the cottage) or stand up paddle basically right out of your front doorstep! It is clean, modern and was a perfect getaway with our teen kids, we will be back.

First beach trip for our dog

We had a great time at this house. The home was perfect for our dog. He was happy watching people walk by the bay. He was able to move from the front area, the home and back patio. The home was well stocked and we were able to make meals. I wish it had like a casserole dish for a bigger dish but overall very clean and comfortable. 5 ⭐️ s

Family Christmas Retreat

The Lost Shaker of Salt beach house was the perfect spot for our family Christmas gathering. We traveled from South Carolina to spend the holidays with our adult children and their spouses who live in the area. We found the home perfectly located for family walks along the harbor and Sliver Strand beach. The house was clean upon arrival and fully stocked for preparing meals. Check-in was easy and communication smooth.The only disappointment we faced was the construction going on in the harbor just across the street. The tractors and construction noise started every morning at 7am… even on Sunday. Obviously this is completely out of the control of the homes owner and/management company but it is worth noting for future renters… signs in the area indicate this harbor restoration was going to last for several more months.

Lost Shaker of Salt was a great 2BR/2BA small home with full kitchen, front and rear patios and plenty of space for our family of 4 that incudes two older teenagers. The location was good right next to the harbor and there was a small beach directly across the road just a short walk away. The property description was accurate, the apartment was clean and had everything a family needs to enjoy a stay. The washer/dryer were an added bonus that all families traveling with children would appreciate. The area felt safe and we had no problem sitting out on the front porch with the gas fire pit keeping us warm for an evening watching the stars and even got a front-row view to a evening rocket launch that we assume was from Vandenberg Space Force Base just north of Santa Barbara! Another added bonus is we all had fun watching the sea lions playing around the harbor. They can be noisy up close but inside the apartment we did not hear them so they weren’t a nuisance. Communication with the hosts was excellent. From check-in instructions through check-out all our messages were responded to in a timely fashion. The check-in instructions were easy to follow and we had no issues with our contactless check-in. We would definitely stay here again when we visit the Oxnard/Ventura area.

The house was great! It was close to the Ventura Naval Base where our son's Change of Command Ceremony was so it was extremely convenient. I would absolutely stay here again. Our only issue was the directions and the check in. We had a later flight and by the time we landed, got our rental car, is was dark. The house is on XXX Court, which is right next to XXX Drive. It is a major, minor difference, except at night, in the dark. We put the address into Waze which took us there. But you can't see the street sign well, and it is a 45 degree turn to the right to get onto XXX Court, and a 90 degree turn to get onto XXX Drive. We turned onto XXX Drive and were essentially lost when we were actually right there. We drove up and down XXX Drive and couldn't find the unit. We wrote to the E-mail address that was provided. We finally realized we had to be on XXX Court and pulled into the unit. The listing does show there is a garage to park 2 cars in the garage and one outside of the garage. I did walk up to the garages that were next to the unit and entered the code that was provided. The unit is great. The book in the house with all of the information showed the garage and the entry code. By this time, it was 11:00 AM and no reply from the night before. I had to write another message, again no reply! I then wrote about the garage. There is no garage! Can't call anyone. Phone number listed called. Machine says "Do Not Leave Message." FINALLY got a rely. Poor communication

Thank you for staying Steve! We understand how important parking it to guests which is why it is included in the listing so you can read it before you book the property. We have had this property since 2018 - it was our first property and has always had one space and no garage. We do have another bungalow that does have a garage and maybe there was some confusion if that house was being considered as well?. We give the full address and are saddened that the guest put the wrong address into their GPS. The Guest Portal that is sent upon signing the Rental Agreement has directions to the house and the full address. We try to make sure you have evenything you need from the time you look at the listing until the time you check-out. Please message us so we have all your informaiton at hand! Thanks :)

Ideal Thanksgiving getaway!

The house is well done, modern, has tasteful and comfortable furnishings, wonderful patios in front and back, and right across the street from the harbor.. I have never seen so many seals in one place at the same time. We would recommend it to any small group and would definitely stay here again.

Clean and great property manager

We came to this property to visit family in the surrounding area. We were very comfortable for our family of four. My kids liked the beach within walking distance and the sea lions that are near the pier. Property manager Lisa was attentive to our questions/concerns. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

It was clean, updated & comfortable. Plenty of amenities. Location was outstanding. However, guess I missed the part about the bedrooms have steps. But over all our stay for a Birthday & Anniversary celebration was great. Thank You so much.

Try Quincy street in a short walking distance - we enjoyed onion blossom + steak + pasta. Got a tip from kind neighbors who are long time resident there, which is another plus.

Perfect "Margaritaville" vacation

We had a wonderful stay! The front and back patios were just the icing on the cake here--Top class amenities, easy parking, wonderful communication, and an amazing location all added up to a vacation to remember for our family. Thank you so much!

Ventura Beach neighborhoods - Silver Strand, Hollywood Beach and Pierpont Beach - have uncrowded beaches, two marinas (Channel Island and Ventura) that have boat rentals, whale watching tours, jet ski rentals, gondola rides and are sprinkled with cool local cafes, yoghurt shops and lively sports bars. Why stay in Malibu or Santa Barbara when you can stay in gorgeous house for 1/3 the price? Oh, and bring your pup too!
