Overall the check in not being until 5 pm and the inflexibility of early check in not being unavailable even when no one is staying there before hand is quite inconvenient especially with children. Especially given check out is at 10am firm as well. I do believe a hotel would have been more accommodating but the location was absolutely wonderful and the amount of rooms is impressive. Kitchen is huge and everything including espresso machine is available. Along with board games and extra blankets for children. So can’t complain. Great for big families.

We rented the entire house for our large family group and found it roomy enough for all age groups to have a place to visit as well as larger group visits. The kitchen was also large and well stocked. We spent most of our time touring many of the sites in the area and found that the home location was perfect for us. Close to grocery stores and Canadian Tire. The hosts were also prompt and responsive to our needs and in communication with us.

We had a large group for an elopement in Canmore and couldn’t ask for a better host and location for our stay. The entire lodge was upscale yet cozy. The rooms were spacious and private, and there were excellent spaces for groups to gather. We loved the outdoor space and easy access to all the shopping and restaurants of downtown. Hosts were proactive and thoughtful as well as easy to communicate with if we had any questions. We would love to stay again when we return. Highly recommend!

Amazing property with best location in Canmore!

Most likely the only property in Canmore that could comfortably house 16 adult men for a boys golf weekend. Right in the heart of the action which made walking to local restaurants and pubs a breeze. Incredibly attentive hosts as well.

Lots room for our group.Great location. You can walk to many places downtown. Very quiet and good parking. This lodge is not air conditioned, which is okay, but one of the bedrooms upstairs was so hot, that a chocolate bar that was in the room for the day melted.

I booked this property from another city to accommodate myself and my family, many of whom I had never met at the time. On paper, it appeared to be great. When we all finally entered the property, we were walking around in awe and amazement. We couldn't have asked for a better home or location. The chalet was spacious, with all the bedrooms having their own private bathroom, plus the two communal bathrooms on the first floor. I was blown away by the whole place, including the huge dining room, kitchen, and appliances. I especially loved the Miele espresso machine. The chalet was smack in the middle of all the shops—we couldn't have found a better location. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I must also praise the hosts, Chris and Tanya, who were prompt in replying to any questions I had. They were very helpful and polite, making my total experience with them amazing. I am looking forward to booking this chalet again,

nordic ski weekend

A perfect location for a weekend of nordic skiing and race spectating with a group of 12 friends. Having the entire lodge allowed our group to have space and exclusive bathrooms per 2 people. Friendly & responsive hosts.

Our stay in Canmore

Our family rented out the entire paintbox lodge in Canmore. It fit our family great. The large dining table was great for us and kitchen is very large! The location is perfect, right off the Main Street. The check in was easy. Chris and Tayna were available if needed but did not bother us at all! We would recommend to anyone (and the restaurant Sauvage next door)!
