Fully fenced, pet friendly property on half an acre. Fun trails with lots of sniffing opportunities! Located in a quiet neighborhood with no adjacent properties, giving you lots of peace & privacy. Just 3 min walk to bay & 7 min walk to beach, beach cart provided, along with 2 bikes & outdoor games. There is also a fire pit in the yard for fun evenings with family & friends. A charcoal BBQ is located in the back yard.
New build completed in March 2023, with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, one with a tub. Fully equipped kitchen with every gadget! Laundry facilities included.
A comfortable spacious screened porch over looks the front of the property, where you can enjoy sunrises & sunsets. Also a rear deck with great views.
We love dogs so have no restriction on number or size, nor do we charge a pet fee. Pet bowls & beds and 1 large crate provided.
State park is just a mile away, where you can launch a boat.
3 restaurants on the Cape, 1 bar & 2 general stores.
The deeded beach access dune was renourished earlier this year, but sometimes the tide and storms make it a challenge to access the beach - in this case, the public access is just down the road - see map.
We do not charge a pet fee or mind how many you have, but please let us know how many you are bringing so we can let the cleaners know a head of time - thank you.
If you give us their names, we'll add a stick to the dogwood tree!

Perfect dog friendly get away

The home is beautiful, perfect location. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pups to explore and roam. Everything was thought of with our furry friends in mind, from beds to bowls. The house is well-maintained, and very clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt right at home during our stay. The hosts were so sweet and thoughtful and communication was excellent. No issues at all. Best “dog house” we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

The house was absolutely perfect for us. We had 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 young rambunctious pups who had never seen the ocean before. Having everything on property being set up with dog owners in mind was a huge help to us and made traveling with pets really easy. The location of the house was also ideal-easy walk to the beach and easy walk to the bay to do some kayaking and fishing. Also having the restaurant right on the corner was really handy when we didn't feel like cooking or just wanted to pop in for a quick beer. This is our second time staying at a property with these owners and they are extremely friendly and responsive. We look forward to our next trip!
Our pups wasted no time and made themselves at home immediately.

Driftwoof, for people and pups

The house was great! We enjoyed using the bikes and paddleboards. The outdoor space provided room for us to spread out and let our dog have some off leash fun. The beach walk took us closer to 10 minutes, but the private access point was easy to drive to for setting up gear for the day. It was so nice to have beach space that wasn't crowded!

The Whole Family

We were contacted to let us know when house was opened. Let us know we could come in before check in time. The house was lovely. Very clean and new decor. The .5 acre fenced lot was great for our dogs and our boat. We enjoyed the enclosed screen porch as much as our dogs!
The dogs had more fun than we did.

We love coming to this beach house any time we come to the Cape. It’s got everything you need to enjoy your stay, not to mention that it’s private, peaceful, and dog friendly!

Perfect Getaway

Spent a long weekend in fantastic accommodations. Had everything we needed and more. Favorites were the screen porch and walking the property with our dogs. Looking forward to returning but for a longer stay!

What an awesome dog-friendly rental!

Although we weren't able to fully complete our stay (thanks, hurricane!), we enjoyed the time we had at Driftwoof. The owner was readily available for communication, and the home was even better than described. Our new pup loved it, too! We are definitely planning on staying at Driftwoof again.

Fabulous from start to finish!

This property exceeded our expectations in every way! The home is in pristine condition. The decor is the perfect balance of contemporary living with the ideal amount of calming beach accents. No detail is overlooked. Even the way home, local area, and checkout information is presented on the refrigerator infographic is both friendly and clear. My adult daughter and I loved hanging out with our three dogs for a relaxing 7 nights. When the edge of Hurricane Francine passed through, we were happy in the comfort of the spacious home. I was especially impressed that Murray checked in with us to make sure all was well. (It was.) Getting to the beach was a quick and easy walk; we found that a 1 minute drive to the Public Access helped our older dogs save their energy for longer walks on the beach. We all very highly recommend Driftwoof, and are looking forward to returning!

Best vacation ever!

We had a great time during our stay at Driftwoof. The house had everything we needed. It was super clean and the outdoor space is really nice. We spent a lot of time sitting in the screened in porch. Our dog had the best time on the trip, too. It is truly an amazing property that is very comfortable for people and dogs. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back in the future.

Our favorite pet friendly getaway

The Driftwoof is such a perfect getaway, convenient to the beach, bay and state park. The small details making sure that our pups had everything needed were a nice touch. Kayaks and paddle boards were fun for exploring the bay at sunrise! Will be back next year!

A haven for dogs and their families

Driftwoof was a delight! The house was perfect, from the layout, to the furnishings, to the accommodations made specifically for dogs. The orientation of the house ensured that either the front screened porch or the back open porch was in shade and comfortable for outdoor relaxing. The fenced in yard allowed our mini-Aussie to roam around, happily exploring the sights, sounds and smells of the Cape. The owners responded quickly to all communications. I would highly recommend this property to any dog owners wanting a relaxing stay at the beach!

They’ve thought of everything for your pups, guests & the beach was nice too! Beautiful white sand! Highly recommend the White Marlin for dinner (expensive but worth it) communication what excellent & property is wonderful!

Relaxing & Perfect Stay

I’d give this property and it’s owners 6 stars if I could! The house was beautiful and well done in a quiet neighborhood that had easy access to both the gulf and the bay. The house was so thoughtfully done with every need provided for that it made for a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be coming back. My whole extended family was raving about it! A dream!

First of all, the property owners were so nice and accommodating! Responses to our questions were almost instantaneous. Secondly, if you are looking for a nice, quiet getaway where you can relax, enjoy the bay, the Gulf and very nice residents, this is for you. If you are a dog lover, this is for you. When we arrived, nailed to a palm tree were little signs with the names of all the dogs that had visited. Our 4 were already on a sign. The property is completely fenced-in which was perfect for our babies. They sniffed every bush, tree, rock, then just ran for hours. The house is new and there is every linen, kitchen gadget, plate, towel, indoor game, you will ever need. All you need to bring is the food you want for the week. If you want to go out, there are several really cool restaurants. The house is a minute to the bay and Gulf. They had bikes, a kayak, paddle board, and outdoor games. We would have taken advantage of the outdoor activities if the weather had been warmer. Everything was so clean when we arrived - no sand on the stairs, back porch or in the house. It was perfect and we loved it! Truly was the best vacations our family has taken in 15 years. You will LOVE the house, the hosts and the city.

Anniversary trip

Wonderful time at Driftwoof! Very clean & everything we needed was provided. Just bring your pup & clothes! They’ll supple the rest! We enjoyed the bikes, local restaurant Longbill’s was within walking distance, & playing scrabble & dominoes. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed a day at St Joe’s peninsula state park near by. Will definitely be back!

Great time on The Cape

We had a fantastic time at Driftwoof. Our party was 5 people and 3 dogs. The big gated lot allowed the dogs to roam a bit and the home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. I grabbed the paddleboard and went for a bay paddle, We brought our jet skis and launched at the nearby state park and scalloped. Great getaway.

We have owned and operated a number of pet friendly rental properties on Cape San Blas over the years, Sandy Paws, Salty Paws, Soggyy Paws, Sunny Paws, and Dune Paws.
All have since been re-homed, and we now have Driftwoof to offer.
We feel that most pet owners want to bring their pets on vacation, and why not since they are a major part of the family, so being pet friendly is our #1 concern.

The property is fenced and gated, and offers a tranquil spot for both sunrises and sunsets.
