Four Sails - 2BR/3BA - Huge Oceanfront Balconies

Overlooking the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, and the City of Virginia Beach, this property is ideally located at the exclusive north end of the oceanfront. Four Sails Resort is a property made up of Oceanfront condo-style units providing your own private Oceanfront balcony. There's an indoor heated pool inside a large Atrium, an exercise room with a sauna, large City View sundeck, and the 33rd Street Cafe provides on-site dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

THE SPACE

This rare 2BR/3BA Penthouse unit offers one of the best spaces available on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, with 3 separate outdoor Oceanfront balconies that span almost the entire floor of the building. The space of the 3 balconies combined represent one of the largest Oceanfront balcony spaces available on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

There is a Full kitchen that includes a Stove, Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, full size Refrigerator, and Coffee Maker. The Living Room includes a pull-out Queen size sleeper sofa. There is an huge double wide Oceanfront balcony accessible from the Living Room.

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, and its own Oceanfront balcony. The 2nd bedroom has a King size bed, and its own Oceanfront balcony. Each bedroom has its own ensuite Bathroom. Both with large garden tubs that almost looks like a mini-Jacuzzi, also with shower. There is a 3rd Bathroom with a large Walk-In shower and toilet.

One of the unique features of this specific unit is that you have access to three separate balconies. All 3 balconies are Oceanfront. Enjoy the spectacular views while drinking your coffee in the morning or enjoying a beverage of choice in the evening.

The location of Four Sails Resort is on the north end of the boardwalk, and near many of the better restaurants and outdoor lounging areas. Katie's 33rd Street Café is also conveniently located on this property and offers good food and casual dining at reasonable prices. Prepare your own meals in your fully equipped Kitchen, or order something from the Café downstairs to bring up and enjoy a meal on your balcony.

Four Sails is an older building, and somewhat dated, but is well maintained with suites that are clean, well-stocked, and offers daily trash and towel pickup.

You can walk or ride your bike on the 3-mile boardwalk (this resort provides bikes to guests for free). Ocean Breeze Water Park is only 10 minutes away and First Landing State park is only 4 miles away.

Or Virginia Beach offers a convenient location from which to schedule day trips to tour nearby Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, or visit Busch Gardens / Water Country.

OLDER PROPERTY - UNIT INTERIORS

Since this property was originally constructed in the 1970's, the property overall is a little dated. Hopefully the photos provided give you a general understanding for what I am describing.

Virginia Beach is an extremely popular beach destination, and this resort hotel is very popular because of its Oceanfront location sitting right on Boardwalk, great outdoor balcony, and near many dining options in short walking distance.

Most families enjoy their annual vacations at this property, and don't have any complaints. However, if you are a traveler that requires more upscale accommodations, this may not be the right choice for you. In that case you might be better off booking a more expensive listing at a newer property. If you have any specific questions on this, please don't hesitate to ask.

GUEST ACCESS

Your unit is private, but since this is a Resort Hotel property, Amenities will be shared with other guests (Pool, Gym, Sauna, Sun Deck, etc)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in. Your security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.

- Four Sails is professionally managed and operated by Capital Vacations. The Front Desk is staffed 24/7 for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance.

- Please note that once you Check In and get access to your unit, if you encounter any issues or concerns regarding Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc…please contact the Front Desk / Office immediately. The staff members on-site provide the best opportunity to get any concerns resolved in the fastest and most efficient manner. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.

- One (1) FREE parking space is provided per unit rental. Additional parking spots are available for an additional fee paid directly at the Front Desk. If you have a large SUV, the turns in the parking garage can be a little tight, however they can be successfully managed.

- Bedding linens, Blankets, Pillows are provided, as are Bath and Hand towels. If you need additional items or want fresh bedding linens or towels during your stay, please contact the Front Desk. Although bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, you may want to bring some of your own if you have a favorite pillow or blanket.

- Housekeeping will come by daily to replace towels and collect trash.

- There is a coin operated Laundry Room located on the 2nd floor.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed. It's not required to bring your own linens for the Sleeper sofa, but something that we do personally.

- Pool towels are provided for free, and they can be exchanged for fresh ones on an unlimited basis. However, if you or your family owns and likes larger and more luxurious Beach Towels, I recommend bringing them.

- You should plan on bringing your own Beach Blankets / Chairs / Umbrellas / Equipment you want at the beach. If you don’t bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, equipment, etc., you can rent them on the beach out in front of the facility.

- Please note that Four Sails also has some leftover beach chairs and umbrellas available for use by guests, however this is based on First Come, First Serve basis. But if you forget to bring something on your trip you need for the beach, ask the Front Desk since they might have what you are missing.

- Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, shampoos, etc are all provided. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk and they can provide them. We have never personally had an issue receiving the supplies we needed. There are also grocery stores conveniently located within a few minutes from the facility if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.

- Ice machines are available on every other floor

- The resort offers free bikes for use. This offers good value as this could save you over $100 in normal bike rental fees during your week. Bike usage can be scheduled with the Front Desk on a First Come, First Serve basis.

- If you or any members of your family enjoy bike riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bikes (if you have the means to do so). Virginia Beach was designed with a special bike path along the Boardwalk to cater to bike riders. It's possible to use bikes as your main means of transportation during the week to travel up and down the Boardwalk, and around town. Remember to take your bike locks so you can lock up your bikes at the bike rack each night.

- There is a Virginia Beach Coupon booklet available pretty much everywhere in vending type machines along Atlantic Ave, including the Front Desk / Lobby at pretty much all the properties in VB. In this booklet you can find some coupons that offer decent discounts on food, entertainment, and equipment purchases (like bike rentals if you are not able to bring your own).

- Once reservations are confirmed, you will be asked for the name and address of the main guest who will check in, along with an email address to receive a personal confirmation.

NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION

The Virginia Beach Boardwalk and surrounding area is unique among East Coast beach locations because it has many oceanfront, oceanside, marina, and bay dining choices, including many with outdoor seating. There are also live music venues all along the boardwalk in the evenings.

GETTING AROUND

If you like to ride bikes, you can park your car and almost not need it for the week as it is easy to travel the boardwalk on your bike. If you don't bring your own there are bike rental stations up and down the boardwalk, including one near Four Sails.

There is a Virginia Beach trolley that runs up and down Atlantic Boulevard from 40th street down to the Marina below 5th street. This is also an effective way to travel up and down Atlantic Boulevard not needing a car.
