Things to note:
-Fireplace is for looks only. It is NOT for use.
-Person making the reservation must be staying on property, unless given prior approval.
-While we do have some life jackets, it is recommended to bring your own to ensure a proper fit.
-Lake Hartwell is regulated by a dam so the water levels will vary. We are not responsible for the lake level.
-Guests are responsible for following as lake, fishing and boating regulations.
-A starter supply of supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels, is provided.
-There is absolutely no pets and no smoking in the house. If this rule is broken, you will be charged an extra $200 for deep cleaning of the house.
-The kayak, paddle board and lake toys are for the use of our guests as an added bonus. If they become unavailable or break, you would not be entitled to a refund.
-If any of the house rules are broken, you will be subject to removal without a refund for the remaining of the rental reservation.

If you enjoy lakefront stays, this place is for you... It's on high ground with a huge backyard down to the lake... This home has plenty of room for a small family to spread out.. We had a great time and will be re booking in the near future!!

Cute House on the Lake

Home on a cove with ample space and yard. Well stocked home and beautiful view. We took our family and had a great time. Only downside was internet was not working.

Sweet Hideaway

The property is in a quiet area, on the water and very close to a boat launch. Great for relaxing and entertaining. Relatively close to stores, resteraunts. Very comfortable. Only down side is only one of the three bedrooms has a closet. Would definitely stay again.

Special Memories

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean and comfortable. I loved the extra towels. The coffee and creamer was so welcoming upon our arrival. My children 13 and 3 loved jumping from the dock and we all enjoyed the water toys. The dock is not in deep water, so bring water shoes! We look forward to returning soon!

Relaxing and fun !

We came to South Carolina for a relaxing summer trip with our two young teens We really enjoyed the kayaks and the lake! Went on a few trips but our sunrise paddle was the best! The beds were comfortable and clean! My favorite room was the back “porch” Everything was decorated so perfectly! We ate in a lot so it was nice that the kitchen was well stocked with pans needed for cooking. Thanks for the memories!

Enjoying nature

Beach living is great, but there are times you need to see trees and hear nature. Birds galore, pileated woodpecker and cardinals; there's more wildlife than I expected. Baby geese, Great Blue Heron, chipmunks, squirrels and a couple of groundhogs. The lake was spectacular.

Clean, updated older home. Good communication with friendly host, who offered late check out. Was surprised that there was no door to close to the bathroom in the king room and no door to close off the boat bedroom. the docks pictured do not go with this property. It only has a small stairway to a very small cove of water, which was low so we couldn't get in kayaks without going through mud. We weren't there much so this didn't matter to us. Good location for attending parents' weekend at Clemson, apx a 35 minute drive to campus.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for staying with us during Parents’ Weekend. We’re so glad you found the home clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location for visiting Clemson. We’d like to clarify a couple of things for future guests: the property does have a dock, as pictured. Because water levels on the lake can drop seasonally, the dock is moved out to deeper water to remain usable. Guests are welcome to use it, though depending on water level, access may be a short walk across the shoreline. We also appreciate your note about the bedroom/bathroom doors. The home is an older lake house with some unique features, and we try to highlight those in our listing so expectations are clear. We’re happy communication was easy and that you enjoyed your stay overall. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve and also give future guests the right expectations.

He grew up on Lake Hartwell and much of his family still live on the lake, so he is always willing to share a good fishing spot of place to explore. Our family loves to travel and share the travel experience with others! In addition to our lake house, we also have rental cabins outside of Gatlinburg, TN.
