The Sparrow Cottage

The Sparrow House is located in the heart of Bend between the historic downtown and desirable Old Mill district. It is within walking distance to just about everything you could want from the grocery store to some of the best restaurants in town (check out our guidebook). Across from the river, the Sparrow House is one of three cottages in a group known as Cottage Bend. These historic homes capture the charm of this warm and vibrant community. The Sparrow house is an authentic Bend Mill Cottage that has kept its original charm, at only 800 square feet, it is a cozy home. The bedrooms and bathroom are smaller than a modern day home. It is important to us that we set expectations for you. If you are looking for a place with character and charm this is it. We've brought the home up to date with all the essentials to make your stay a happy one. We offer nice beds and linens, washer, dryer, dishwasher, high speed internet and Apple TV. In the winter enjoy the fireplace to keep you feeling cozy and warm. We have electric heaters in each bedroom and bathroom. In the summer we have a AC unit to keep you cool. There is no forced air in this home so it is most helpful if you keep the bedroom doors open to allow the heat and AC in. Decorated with original art, new furniture, and flea market finds - it is a delightful, tranquil space. Bend is all about recreation so we’ve done our best to ensure you enjoy the outdoors. The cottages have a fire pit, complimentary town bikes, gas BBQs and a large fenced yard. This is a pet friendly property. You may bring your dogs (up to 2 dogs). We charge a $40 pet fee for stays under 4 nights and $75 pet fee for stays over 4 days. Though we charge a pet fee, we do expect guests to clean up after their dog. The extra fee goes to our cleaners who need to spend more time cleaning the inside of the property. We want to ensure that you have a wonderful time visiting Bend.
