THE SPACE:
Our two-story home is perfect for adventure and nature lovers who are looking to enjoy and explore Tennessee's beautiful wilderness & natural waterfalls, while staying in comfortably modern accommodations.

The rental is designed for you to getaway and unplug with your friends or family! Enjoy our rental amenities & activities such as foosball, cornhole, a huge deck perfect for entertaining, and the ability to have an outside campfire - don't forget to pack your s'more supplies!

The main floor gathering area is a combination of living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen is fully-loaded with new appliances and everything you need to feel at home, including: full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, toaster-oven, Keurig coffee maker, Ninja blender perfect for smoothie making, crockpot, and new cookware & dishes. The cozy living room features a smart tv and access to the deck, for an indoor/ outdoor entertaining experience.

The main floor sleeping accommodations include two bedrooms with queen size beds - one bedroom has a tv in it and one does not. The third, smaller, bedroom on the main floor has a comfy futon - perfect for one person to sleep or to serve as an in-home office. The three main floor bedrooms all share a fully remodeled bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and dual shower heads.

A large spiral-staircase takes you from the main floor to the downstairs game room. Downstairs there is a bathroom with a shower, a full-size washer & dryer, lounging area with smart tv (perfect for movie nights), foosball table, card table, and host of other games to make memories during your stay. There is a twin-size daybed downstairs and a very comfy sofa that both serve as additional sleeping space, perfect for kids!

Enjoy your peaceful morning cup of coffee with mountain views on the front porch. Grill up some burgers on the deck, pour a glass of wine, and soak in the stunning TN valley sunsets in the evening. Our covered patio offers a great alternative outdoor space to protect from the sun or rain.

Our huge yard is perfect for cornhole tournaments & evening campfires.
There is tons of space for your family & pets to roam and play!

Just a short three-minute drive away, The Lost Creek State Natural Area is a 263-acre nature reserve known for its unique geological features, including a series of underground caves, sink holes, waterfalls, and disappearing streams- famous for being the beautiful set of Disney's 1994 live-action remake of the "Jungle Book". The area offers several hiking trails that range in difficulty from easy to strenuous- be sure to pack your hiking shoes!

The area also features some of Tennessee's best kayaking experiences, including: Lost Creek, Caney Fork River, Rock Island State Park, & Burgess Falls State Park.

Two night minimum on major holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day

Jongee was very helpful during our stay and we chatted several times. We even got to visit her store in Sparta and meet her! Great location for hiking.

Perfect house for a family. It was super clean and the finishes are absolutely stunning. Communication with the owners is easy. All the popular waterfalls and hiking trails are close with easy access. Will definitely be coming back again.

We loved the beautiful yard for our dog and space for her to run and you can’t see the neighboring homes. Great views. The home’s very clean and has nice kuerig pods, and some extras for guest to use for cooking. No cell service,our phones said SOS but WiFi works ok. It is out in the country though so to go to restaurants - it was about a 20 min drive. There was a cow and a donkey that came for visits at the property fence. There was a a bit of a musty smell to the home and the staircase going downstairs is very dangerous, since it has a hole a small dog could fall through to the basement from the top floor. Streaming apps was fine for tv. The furniture in the deck was unusable because it was very moldy and wet. The deck though is very nice. They do require guest to strip beds and start laundry and dishwasher but check outs not till 12! The rooster in the lot next door started making noise at 4 am and the neighborhood dogs were a bit barky on the night but it wouldn’t stop me from wanting to rent it again. It’s a great value for what’s offered.

This is a beautiful home located in a serene location. It has all the amenities for a relaxing stay. We had a snafu with check in, but the host addressed it quickly.

Chasing waterfalls

The house was great. Located close to Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island State Parks. And so many other cool places to see. Great views. Cozy house. Kids absolutely loved it. Minor issue at check-in but host was quick to respond with help. Book it!

Lovely stay

Great location for hiking! The home is just delightful with all new appliances. Very clean and communication with the owner was great. We stayed here for our Mammoth Hike. So enjoyed it and look forward to staying here again to enjoy more hikes.

Spring Break at Big Bittom

We spent a great week at this beautiful home hiking with our teens and dog. Close to Sparta and state parks and very close to Lost Creek nature area. We hope to return. Thanks to Jongee and John for hosting and providing everything we needed to enjoy our trip!

Waterfall bound

I wanted a nice peaceful stay where I could venture out and see waterfalls. This was a great place and we enjoyed the house. It was nicely renovated and had very nice decor. We cooked a few small meals here and the kitchen was adequate. We were able to see the local waterfalls and drive to a few state parks from here. The owner was helpful in answering my questions and giving us suggestions. We enjoyed.a few shops & breakfast in downtown Sparta. I would stay here again.

We love meeting new people! I own a boutique in downtown Sparta, walking distance from the Nook on Maple St. My husband John was born-and-raised in Sparta and is now a retired insurance executive. We are are a fun, loving couple who loves traveling and spending time with our granddaughters. John loves collecting cool vintage signs and treasures and Jongee loves contemporary and modern design (with a bit of funky) - you can see both of our personalities come through in our rental decor. We are passionate about our charming small-town, and are happy to assist you with anything you may need during your stay!

The Lost Creek/ "Big Bottom" area of the county where this rental is located is where my family is from. The virgin wilderness in this small region is absolutely one of the most beautiful areas in the state of Tennessee- A hidden gem! I have so much pride for the beauty of the wilderness, caves, & waterfalls in this area, and have made so many precious memories exploring it with my family.

It means to much to be able to host visitors to this area and share it's unique beauty!
