ISLAND RETREAT with all the comforts of home plus more

Prudence Island is an unique island in the middle of Narragansett Bay. The only way to get to the island is by Ferry Boat. If you’re looking for a real vacation spot with no crowded beaches and nature, this is the place for you.
Prudence boasts of many beaches, lovely paths groomed for walking, Frisbee golf, deer sightings, a lighthouse, a nature center, and 2 museums.
When you arrive at my home, the island retreat, you will find all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well equipped with all type of pans, dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils. Right outside the kitchen door is a large deck, gas grill, table, and outddoor furniture under a Pergola.
The first floor has an open concept with a beautiful field stone fire place. There is a large farm table in the dining area for the feast you prepared from your daily catch. You can fish or dig for your seafood. If no luck, no worries There are seafood markets that will deliver to the island.
The second floor has 3 large bedrooms. One king, 2 queens, and a trundle that sleeps 2 more. If you are in need of a crib and high chair, we have that also, just let us know.
There are bed linens, towels, beach chairs, laundry, kayak, and an outdoor shower.
The house sits on 1 1/2 acres and abuts Nature Conservancy trails.
You do have to bring what you want to eat and drink. The island does not have any Grocery stores except a small general store with the basics, a gas station, and a Post Office. It does sells penny candy, Dells lemonade, ice cream, and souvenirs.
Prudences Ferries leave from The Bristol Ferry Dock located at 147 Thames Street Bristol RI 02809. RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE ARE A MUST. I suggest to bring a car to explore the island , then take a bike to adventure around. The town of Bristol is a very quaint New England town. It has many restaurants, Pubs, liquor stores, boutiques ,grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. Come and Enjoy a bit of paradise just 30 minutes from the mainland!
