Welcome to the PBC in Encinitas Historical District, North County Coastal San Diego. Enjoy this quiet house in the best and most centric place to stay for the North County San Diego Coastal experience! The PBC is a modern & spacious 1,000 sq. ft. freestanding beach house situated within a 10,000 sq. ft. lush tropical palm grove. There are over 200 palm trees offering filtered shade and tropical ambience accentuated by the light ocean breezes passing through the palm leaves. The entire property has been designed with excellent attention to detail, amazing amenities and for your privacy. Imported Indonesian furniture from Bali and the Pacific Tropical Fusion landscape and house design make you feel like you are on your own private island!

The PBC has about everything you would want "on your island" and immediately makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease. High open-beam vaulted ceilings, incredible modern yet subtle indirect illumination, lots of natural day lighting from the seven skylights, native artifacts, great professional cooking facilities and luxurious linens! The PBC has had the rare distinction and verification by the original VRBO Bear as a Top 1% Listing when VRBO had the program!!!

Great tropical outdoor living areas provide amazing retreat and entertainment options. The front fire patio with its outdoor fireplace chimney is surrounded with relaxing deep seating arm chairs creating the perfect day & evening garden fire-side lounge. The rear fireside Tiki-deck provides a perfect fireside dining and cocktail spot as well as a peaceful morning coffee venue. The TIKI-TUB (Deeply Relaxing Hot-Tub for All Humans) is available for your exclusive enjoyment — enjoy your own private hot or cold soak in the cowboy style "Tiki-Tub" just off the master bedroom, with its own outdoor fireplace and real gas tiki torches! Take it all in & enjoy the ample on-site retreat spaces that take you away from your daily life to somewhere special!

Fantastic Cottage nestled in a beautiful Encinitas neighborhood. All the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The host, Eric, was a super nice guy who was very friendly and always available to answer our questions. Highly recommended for a short vacation get-away and walking distance to the beach.

We continue to come back to this rental because it's by far the best place we've ever stayed. We love all the amenities in the lodging; the fire pits, the tiki tub, it's all just so incredible relaxing and serene. Eric, Anne, and adorable pup Juan are fantastic hosts and always responsive. Best of all this place is always spotlessly clean. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this rental again and again.

Property management lives nearby and are nice and communicative. Place has a lot of charm and is plenty of space for 2, even the kitchenware is top quality. Location is hard to beat in Encinitas, walkable to restaurants and the beach and between the 5 and 101 but not too close to either. Would book again

The cottage was beautiful and very well outfitted. We didn't have a chance to take advantage of all that this cottage has to offer but if we had had time, it would have been great.Eric (the host) was available and responsive. The location is close to downtown with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. The train station is a couple of blocks away and there is EV charging close also.My wife and I definitely recommend this.

Perfect Location and Accommodations

Really enjoyed our stay! Eric’s place is perfectly located and has a wonderful vibe. Especially enjoyed Juan, one of the goofiest/ friendliest dogs I have ever met. I highly recommend!

The moment you step through the front gate, the cottage grabbed you with the beautiful tropical manicured yard, then to step into a tropical themed cottage that was cute and cozy. Eric has spared no expense in providing his guests with all the amenities and then some, to the wood burning fireplace, the cute hot tub off the bedroom and an amazing well stocked kitchen! Thank you for making our stay memorable, A hui hou!

Really nice--and comfortable house. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Nice fireplaces (inside and out) and a cool small hot tub.And great to meet the caretaker--Juan the black lab!

Tropical getaway

Such a romantic and cozy place! Juan the lab greeted us and helped us eat bacon. Would highly recommend and would stay again! Lazy Acres has great food to cook in the fully stocked kitchen.

Outstanding place great location for a Encinitas.

Fun, comfortable, inviting, well equipped great location, nicely decorated beach pad. Good Internet & AV. Nice sitting areas in front and back. Stayed for five nights. Had a great time. Highly recommend.

I have a 20+ year commercial real estate background with broad geographic coverage with a Global firm before starting my own firm in 2011, Commercial West Realty Advisors. Love traveling and using VRBO/Homeaway properties all over! Spend lots of time in Baja enjoying the rugged country it offers In close proximity to San Diego. Trail running in local mountains occupies much of my time as well. Just love that southern CA lifestyle so much....

Coastal and ocean access for beach and surfing is awesome, trails for running, and close walking proximity to both downtown Encinitas makes the location a big win!! Love the quiet neighborhood full of unique and eclectic homes dates back to the 30's! Large lot sizes allow for more than typical land per house in comparison to any other coastal community!
