The condo was clean, ocean view great. Internet was terrible, missed an important zoom due to terrible internet. Condo is NOT a two bedroom condo, it is one bedroom and one sleeping loft. Very deceptive listing. Photos taken to make it appear like an enclosed bedroom.

Aloha, Mahalo for staying with us and for your feedback. I’m sorry the internet was unreliable and that you missed an important Zoom — that should not have happened. Maintenance investigated the connection and we’re working with the provider and upgrading the router/adding signal extenders to improve reliability and speeds. I’m also sorry the listing felt deceptive. We updated the description and photos to clearly state the unit is a one-bedroom with a sleeping loft (not two enclosed bedrooms) so future guests have accurate expectations. Mahalo for letting us know. If you’d like to share any additional details, please message us through Vrbo and we’ll follow up. Mahalo, The My Perfect Stays Team

Amazing views and spacious condo

We came with our family and had a wonderful stay in this spacious condo. It was beautifully decorated and the view was breathtaking! The bay villas are a quiet place with many walking trails along the coast and beautiful pools. The property management company was fantastic and responsive. This condo was perfect for our stay and we would definitely come back again!

Lovely, Walkable to Kapalua Beach Condo!

My family of five had a wonderful stay in this condo! The condo is located very near Kapalua Beach; a walk my young daughters could easily accomplish while carrying a beach towel and toys. The condo is equipped with beach chairs, toys, snorkel gear and boogie boards. The layout of the condo was wonderful, providing all of us plenty of space. It was also very clean, comfortable, and cool. The views were absolutely stunning! We had a marvelous stay and vacation.

August visit

The intentions are well but attention to detail is missing in terms of cleanliness and guest comfort. Response is slow, unsupportive and just disappointing. View is nice and location is great!

Aloha Amber and mahalo for your stay with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful ocean views that this condo has to offer. We are so sorry about the alleged cleanliness issues that you encountered during your stay. Prior to your arrival, our team did a thorough inspection of this unit and found it to be in great clean order and guest ready. During your stay our team was sent out several times to address any concerns that you had. We are disappointed by your rating as we feel that it is in retaliation due to us not being willing to accommodate your requests for substantial compensation. Again mahalo for your stay with us.

Worth Considering

Overall, this is a very nice unit. I’m giving 5 stars, but would have given 4.5 if that were an option. Check-in was great. They just email you the codes before arrival. Parking is available only steps from the unit, and on the same level. The view, while nice, is restricted because of the placement of the unit. Other condos box in the view, so you definitely have an ocean view, it’s just narrow. Also, the placement of the units means you are always on display when in the dining area and on the deck. The main deck is very narrow: only room for chairs. It would have been nice to have room to stretch out. The unit was clean, and very well stocked in the kitchen. We prepared all our breakfasts and half our dinners, and always had what we needed. Beds are comfy. WiFi is strong. The only issues we had were a garbage disposal that didn’t work (fixed same day by a very friendly tech); sliding glass patio door and screen that need repair (dragging heavily and noisily on tracks); and a personal beef with the multiple communications basically telling me not to steal the towels (not worded that way, but that was the gist). We love Kapalua, and have stayed on property many times. Everything you need or want is close by. This was the first time in a Bay View unit, and while we enjoyed our stay, the restricted view would cause me to explore alternatives before booking this one again. That said, if we returned here, we would enjoy our time every bit as much.

Great stay in the Bay Villas

Our family of four spent four wonderful nights in Bay Villa 28-D. Kapalua is a beautiful property and neighborhood, with the coastal trail that leads to several beaches and awesome rocky headlands just a hundred feet away from the villa. The property manager communicated well, and the villa was reasonably well equipped with a nice layout for us plus our two teenagers. The kitchen could use a few more bowls, glasses, and mugs, but overall, we had a great stay in this excellent villa. Overall, the Maui west side is a superb spot. We drove down to Kannapali and Lahaina for dinner most nights where the options are more plentiful than in Kapalua.

Underwhelming for a Stay in Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a prime location but is surrounded by identical townhomes with views into each. Privacy was lacking. The appliances were disappointing - the washer/dryer stackable is definitely from the 1990s and tore clothes. The COCKROACHES were a SURPRISE and DISAPPOINTMENT! The living room sofa was very uncomfortable, the air exchange in the upstairs bedroom was lacking due to two of the side windows being screwed shut. The two twin beds down stairs slid around the room when any movement took place on the bed. There was no hot tub at any of the pools. And, the phone number for resort transportation was not operational. While we like the Kapalua area, we'd not rent this particular unit again.

Aloha Jeff, we apologize on the uninvited guests in the one bathroom. Please know the AOAO and our team treats the property regularly, but at times there are visits. We are sorry you experienced them. I do see that we came and sprayed and there was no further activity. We will check the washer/dryer to ensure all is okay as well as tighten the bed. We are sorry the Kapalua shuttle was not operational, I believe they are short staffed at times like many business today. We do have many other units to select from, so for your next stay we will ensure you get something a little more private. Mahalo.

This condo is in the perfect location near all sorts of activities. We recommend renting a car to go places. The 2 beaches were amazing! 1 for snorkeling and the other for boogie boarding. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The refrigerator has a filtered water dispenser inside and an ice maker in the freezer! The views are top notch! We never wanted to leave!

Whales, waves and peace

We love Kapalua and enjoyed staying with our adult children in this unit. There were 6 of us and everyone was comfortable. The view is excellent and we sat on the balcony, spotting the whales several times a day. The testing for Covid is doable, just read all of the information and follow the Travel Hawaii instructions. Aloha and until next time!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of four stayed in this rental and enjoyed it. Downstairs bedroom (2 beds, private bath) was perfect for my teenagers and upstairs (king with private bath) was perfect for the adults. Nice views of the pacific and Molokai. Only quibble I had was that the unit also has nice views of your neighbors - both left and right. The unit was perfectly clean with nice enough furniture and an easy walk to the ocean trail or beach.
