Communication was great regarding check in and any questions we had while we were there. Plenty of kitchen space and supplies, quality air conditioning! The kids swam in the lake some but spent more time fishing. Had fun at the nearby Alligator sanctuary.

Nice place pretty secluded. Lake wasn't as swim-able as we had hoped but It's pretty close to other things we could do and that was nice.

Great stay

So happy we found this house! It was just the right size for an extended family get together. So nice that everyone could have their own rooms yet gather for meals and time together. Very clean and hopefully we can go back when the weather is nicer so that we can make use of the lake!

great location for a family gathering!

We enjoyed our time at the lake house, which had all of the fun amenities for a family gathering. the kids especially loved the kayaks and splash pad and we all enjoyed the views and access to the lake. the house is big and accommodated our group. would recommend to any family or group of friends!

Super family VACA

We had a fabulous stay at Eric's place. Clean, comfy rooms, space for the family to play games, inside and out. I highly recommend this great lakefront VACA home.

Great house in great location! Had Had 2 children with spouses and 6 grandkids and one great grand baby.It worked out very well for us.

Oh my !! What a beautiful place and clean and family friendly!! We could have not picked a more wonderful place to stay!! Amities were over the top, every room was spacious. The view of the lake was spectacular!! And views from every room. Working with the owner was also wonderful and they were flexible to our needs.We would highly recommend this place. I am hoping to return someday!!

Wonderful Lakeside House for Multi-Family Vacation

The lakehouse was wonderful. We appreciated having 4 king beds (plus a queen) for all the adults. The house had great wifi, plenty of plates and utensils for our large group (14 people). The kayaks and swim pad were a huge hit. And, the firepit was great for the smores. We'd definitely stay here again.

The good:• Rooms were clean, and the unit was well equipped with items we didn’t think to bring! • We loved that everything was so clearly labeled• The property itself was just gorgeous. I’ll be thinking about that lake oftenThe bad:• The property does not have a hot tub. Although listing does not say hot tub, it said outdoor amenities, and we assumed from the photos and the “outdoor amenities” that there would be a hot tub. We felt that was a little misleading since we were really looking forward to it and it was one of the reasons we chose this location and for that, it lost a star.The ugly:While the rooms looked very nice and were well stocked; there was mold in the Foosball room, several damp rooms, and a chair that broke and dropped one of our guests. It looked like it had broken before and then glued back together and was not suitable for sitting. All of these combined lost another star.Other than that, everyone had a great time, there was tons of stuff to do without having to leave, and we really enjoyed using the fire pit.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the property nice and well-stocked! We pride ourselves on being highly responsive hosts who want to deliver a 10/10 experience. Because of this, we always encourage guests to reach out immediately if anything falls short of expectations upon arrival so we can resolve issues in real-time or reach a cooperative agreement. We’d also like to provide some clarity on a few points for future guests. We do keep our amenities list as accurate as possible (which does not include a hot tub, as stated), and happily will clarify if unclear. Regarding the foosball room, as we messaged shortly after check-in, the marking was not mold, but rather stubborn residual foam and adhesive left by a previous guest. We also sincerely apologize about the chair; guest safety is always a priority, and we have already replaced it with a sturdy new metal chair. We would have loved the opportunity to investigate the "dampness" you mentioned, but we were completely unaware of it as it wasn't brought to our attention during your stay. We are happy that you otherwise enjoyed your trip and hope you made some great memories. Wishing you all the best in your future travels.

Memorial Day weekend

Family vacation

We have 22 of us and there was ample space for all. We appreciated the two refrigerators for all the food and drinks. We cook each night and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, silverware and pots and pans. The kayaks and water pad were a hit along with the fire ring. The owner was quick to respond with any questions or issues we had. Another memorable vacation in the books.

Sleeps twenty-four!

Eight bedrooms and four bathrooms...perfect for this family of 24! We had fun playing games in the cottage and had great weather to enjoy the kayaks and lily pad and fishing and playing in the water. Well equipped kitchen for fixing your own meals and unlike other cottages we've stayed in, this one provided toilet paper, paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, laundry soap/dryer sheets, hand soap, shampoo, body wash and conditioner enough for our whole stay.

Great property and accommodations

Our extended family of 14 (8 adults, 6 kids) plus a Labrador Retriever, loved the amount of bed and bathrooms and large spaces to hang out. Well stocked with kitchen items, towels, games (indoor and outdoor), laundry facilities. Nice touch with the dog bowls and toys too. But our most favorite was the dock and outdoor space- paddle boat and kayaks, swim mat and dock. Owners were great with communication, prompt to troubleshoot little things that arose or answer my questions. If you have a large group looking for a relaxing week by a quiet lake- this is the place!

Terrific house

Terrific house with many amenities. Large rooms with guest house and large deck overlooking dock on the lake. Boat house with paddle boat and 3 kayaks. Firepit with firewood (smores), slides, swing and large yard. The 22 adults, 7 kids, and 3 dogs all had a great time. Only 2 small nits to pick - ran short on toilet paper and garbage bags.

Golf Weekend

Our group of 15 golfers had a wonderful time at the house. Lots of extra beds, 2 big refrigerators, great fire pit and a wee house we played dominoes in. The lake looks cool in the morning fog, and on the clear nights the full moon rose over the lake. No noisy neighbors or boats. Very serene. We had never been to this part of Michigan and would come back. Lots of corn, red barns, and nice houses. Played Cedar Creek all 4 days in our tournament. Not long, but tough greens and tight on the front 9.

Had to make a last minute change and found the perfect vacation home

We have an annual multi family vacation each year and were set for Memphis. When we had to make a last minute change and found this home available I was relieved and slightly nervous as we hadn't had time to do much research.Everyone ended up being so happy with the last minute change. The house is even better than the pictures could show. It is extremely roomy, we had a puzzle table, game table and a table to eat. We did bring one large folding table and had plenty of room to set it up. The food buffet was a great space to spread food out through the day. We have been renting houses for over a decade now and I can genuinely say the host at the Union City were the most thoughtful and responsive host we have ever worked with. They proactively told us and handled a problem at the house right before we checked in. We had a minor concern at check in (air conditioners) and within 30 minutes someone was there helping us out. The house is so well stocked and the closeout instructions are very clear.The lake was great and so many water toys for the kids and adults to use. We traveled with three pups and they had tons of room to play and the host even had some great toys, extra bags and plenty of outdoor garbage.We are already planning a trip back!

We had a wonderful stay! The surroundings are beautiful and incredibly peaceful, with a lovely lake view that made the whole experience even more relaxing. The house was very well maintained, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed.Eric was very helpful and easy to communicate with, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The house and location were perfect for spending quality time together, and we had such a great weekend with our family.A wonderful place to slow down, relax, and enjoy nature. We would definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back!

This was our second year for our large family to stay here. Eric made so many improvements over the past year. Air conditioning was great throughout the whole place and there are so many spaces for hanging out and playing games. The kitchen is pretty well equipped although we bring our own large electric griddle to help in meal prep. Most other cottages are not as generous as Eric’s in providing soap/shampoo/conditioner and dish/laundry products as well as paper products. You might want to bring your own water and ice because of the well water smell/taste but it’s not so bad. Eric answered any questions or concerns we had very quickly. The lake is great for exploring by kayaking and for fishing and enjoying wildlife. Our kids have fun on the water mat. But if you want a lake with few weeds and for swimming you should probably look elsewhere.

It was great to have a large deck for the whole family to gather in and a large deck to gather outside. The baby gates on both sides of the deck was great to contain a toddler and dog. The lily pad was a big hit with the kids and everyone enjoyed the kayaks. Fishing was good off the dock.

There were 25 of us and I never heard a complaint other than there not being any air conditioning vents in 2 of the downstairs bedrooms. Other than that it was a great time.
