A peaceful riverfront log cabin designed for guests who want to slow down and be together—yet just 2.5 miles from downtown Mount Airy and its Mayberry charm. Set along the Ararat River with direct access, enjoy a year-round hot tub, fire pit, seasonal pool, yard games, a game room, a dedicated play space for littles, and a one-of-a-kind Adventure Tower with bridges, swings, and slides. Thoughtfully designed for connection, comfort, and memory-making at every age.

Designed with shared moments in mind, Riverside Memories offers a welcoming riverfront setting where families and friends can comfortably spend time together. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the home naturally supports multigenerational stays, two families traveling together, or close friends who appreciate both shared experiences and quiet moments of their own.

The main log cabin features warm, inviting living and dining areas that draw people together throughout the day—morning coffee around the table, afternoons playing games, and evenings spent talking by the fire. Bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged to balance togetherness with personal space.

A separate guest cottage provides added flexibility, making it ideal for grandparents, another family unit, or couples who enjoy a little extra privacy while still being part of the group experience.

Inside the Home

The fully equipped kitchen anchors the main level and is designed for real use—meals cooked together, snacks between adventures, and long conversations around the handcrafted 8’ black walnut river table. Guests consistently comment on how well stocked and thoughtfully set up the home feels.

The Adventure Tower is a one-of-a-kind, custom-built play space designed for both kids and adults to explore, move, and play together. With elevated decks, bridges, swings, slides, and open-air platforms, it encourages curiosity, laughter, and shared adventure—whether you’re racing across a bridge or relaxing on an upper deck with a drink in hand.

Riverside Memories offers 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, thoughtfully arranged to comfortably host families and groups traveling together.

Main Log Cabin:
• Bedroom 1: King bed
• Bedroom 2: King bed
• Bedroom 3: Custom bunk bed (Twin XL over Queen with Twin XL trundle)
• Bonus sleeping: Two luxury folding twin beds in the basement
• Bathrooms: Three full bathrooms
Guest Cottage:
• Bedroom: King bed
• Living area: Queen sleeper sofa
• Kitchenette and full bathroom
The layout works especially well for multigenerational families, two families traveling together, or groups of friends who want to share time together while still enjoying personal space.

House Rules
🕙 Quiet Hours: 10 PM–8 AM – This is not a party house.
🐶 Dog-Friendly: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs with prior approval and $200 refundable deposit. No cats or other animals allowed.
📶 Wi-Fi is strong but cell service may be limited in some areas.
🔥 Firewood not provided – please bring your own for the fire pit.
🧾 Rental Agreement Required within 24 hrs of booking.
⚠️ River access is via a steep, natural path. May not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. Riverbed can be slippery – water shoes recommended.
🏊‍♂️ Pool is unheated and open May 10–Sept 10.
📅 Max occupancy (up to 10 adults / 12 total including children) includes all daytime and overnight guests.
🚭 No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
👤 Primary renter must be 25+
