Loved staying at this beachfront dog friendly house. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Everyone had a blast including the dogs!

Location was A. Sunsets were breathtaking. Hot beach shower was great for rinsing off before coming upstairs. Tons of boogie boards in the garage. Upstairs condo could be updated as it’s definitely vintage but then it would be out of our price range.

Excellent/seamless check in. Kitchen outdated but worked out well. Wi-Fi is spotty. Goes in and out but again , it was fine. Location is impressive! I wanted something right on the sand and this couldn't be more perfect! I love that I was able to bring my fur babies along! We all had a blast! I would definitely come back! Communication was above and beyond. The TVs were not working when we arrived. I notified Ralph and a technician was sent the next day and they were both fixed. I appreciate the promptness. Thank you so much! New flooring and a kitchen update and the home would be perfect! Loved it regardless. Just a suggestion. :) Enjoyed the gorgeous weather and sunsets.

Amazing home right on the beach

A great family friendly home right on the beach! Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves, grill on the deck, or walk to the many shops and restaurants nearby. We all had an absolutely wonderful time! Would definitely rent again.

Great location, amazing views

Lovely upstairs unit. We’ve stayed in the downstairs unit many years ago and have stayed in several places within a half block over the last 15 years. Del Mar is THE place and this beach (18th street area) is the best of the area in our view (which is why we keep coming back!). This stay was excellent - 4 single beds and a big bed in the primary slept everyone comfortably. This place isn’t upscale and fancy (needs updating) but that’s how we like our beach stays. It’s the perfect size too. Kitchen was well stocked but: My only tip would be to bring a knife sharpener, all the knives were as dull as they could be! Overall a fantastic stay and property!

Location, location, location!

This location can't be beat! The spacious home is directly on the sand with the ocean in your front yard. Unbelievable views and scenery! As mentioned in the other reviews, the home is dated, but the photos are accurate and the price is commensurate with what is offered. Overall, incredible value for being directly on the beachfront.Ralph was prompt with his communication and the check-in and check-out was a breeze. (pun intended ;-)We would recommend this property and hope to be back soon!

Terrific Stay

We loved our stay. The location is unbeatable. The home was a great size for two kids and four adults. There are tons of sand toys and options for beach gear. We loved watching the sunset from the deck. We can’t wait to come back.

Always a great time

We have been coming to this beach house for 7 years always a great time ! It has everything needed for a wonderful time kitchen stocked with all appliances. The view is breath taking ! Highly recommend !

Comfortable and spacious beachhouse

My family really enjoyed staying at this comfortable and spacious beach house. Del Mar has one of the nicest beaches in San Diego, and we were fortunate to experience it for a weekend.

Ideal location, responsive host

You really cannot beat the location, and the place is spacious and comfortable. As other reviewers have said, the furnishings are dated, but its such a lovely place to be that doesn't really distract from the stay. Also there was a very generous amount of beach chairs, towels, etc. available to use.

Amazing vacation, incredible location

We had a wonderful week! The property is incredibly well located--short walk to water's edge, near Powerhouse Park for concerts, close to restaurants and Old Del Mar town center. House has lots of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas for comfortable stay on the beach. Can beat the view!
